I would not mind stealing Jay Ajayi too.

Him or maybe Crow now that he's available, but i'd still prefer we draft a power back in the later rounds Snell or Barnes. Or maybe if that NDSU guy(name is escaping me at the moment) goes undrafted pick pick him up

Okay this guy reminds me of Redskins RB/KR Brian Mitchell and he was a combine snub so he probably isn't on many peoples radar(I work with a bunch of Bison alumni)

RJF is the only guy our local sports chick ever interviews post game.

It's weird.

There has to be a half dozen more guys that played home games at Gillette. If anyone can find them, it's Bob Quinn. The hardest working man, in his house.

Do you think Quinn goes over his draft board with Belicheck still?

A pressure is less than a sack.

That is true. I've seen Rodgers gets pressured more times than I can count and seen him escape the pocket and throw or run for a first down against us countless times. Pressure is an over rated stat because the great QB's can still thrive under pressure.

Detroit has signed Malcolm Brown to an offer sheet, ESPN reported Tuesday. The Rams will now have five days to either match the offer or allow their fifth-year running back to head to Detroit. The Lions’ offer is for two years and $3.25 million with $1 million guaranteed, including $100,000 in the form of a signing bonus, TheMMQB.com reported.

The good
Big power back with 3 down potential(If Kerryon were to get hurt)
Good in pass protection
Great balance
Adequate receiving skills(caught 18 of 22 targets so far)
Holds onto the ball(only 1 fumbles lost in his 150 touches)

The bad
Pretty much has to rely on his balance and power completely. He has no burst, rarely makes guys miss, and he tends to run towards contact.
He hasn't had much RZ experience being behind Gurley and he was injured last year when Gurley was hurt(big missed opportunity for him) .

All in all i hope the Rams don't match i'd much rather he were the guy than Zenner if Kerryon goes down

Report: Lions safety Tavon Wilson takes a pay cut to stay in Detroit

Though the Detroit Lions still have plenty of cap space, many believed veteran safety Tavon Wilson was still a candidate to be released for some cap savings. Had Detroit released Wilson, they were lined up to have an additional $2.9 million in cap space, and after the Lions signed free agent safety Andrew Adams, it seemed like his position on the team may be expendable.

However, the two sides agreed to a different option. Per ESPN’s Field Yates, Wilson has a agreed to take a pay cut from a $2.15 million base salary in 2019 to just $1 million.

The move will drop Wilson’s cap hit by over $1 million. Not only do the Lions benefit from a decreased cap hit, but they keep around Wilson—a seven-year veteran who is well-versed in Matt Patricia’s defense and also provides a good amount of special teams skills. Now that the Lions decided to move on from Glover Quin this offseason, Wilson should maintain some depth and leadership in the secondary.

It’s a savvy move from the Lions from a business standpoint, and it’s also promising that Wilson was willing to take a pay cut just to stick around with Detroit. There’s no guarantee that he’ll make the team after training camp, but the Lions just made it a little more affordable to keep him.

Former Lions CB Nevin Lawson signs 1-year deal with Raiders

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport provided the details of the deal: one-year worth $3.05 million for the former Lions cornerback. There is no word on any guarantees or incentives of the contract.

Lawson signed a two-year deal worth $9 million with the Lions in the 2018 offseason. He was a cap casualty at the beginning of the 2019 offseason, saving Detroit over $4.6 million in cap space

BB_72; from 5.725M due in 2019 from the Lions and now down to 3.05M. Rough life.
