What other former Pats are still FA's?

I've never felt this franchise to be more of a joke. But I think I still can.

You are obviously smoking better stuff then the rest of us.Your posts are becoming completely irrational.

Report: Lions giving Trey Flowers $90 million, $56 million guaranteed

So here’s what it breaks down to in more consumable terms over the next two years:

2019: $805,000 salary, $5,614,000 prorated signing bonus = $6.419M cap hit
2020: $11,125,000 salary, $5,614,00 prorated signing bonus = $16.739 cap hit

UPDATE 3: Here’s a full breakdown of the deal, assuming there are no more unreported bonuses in the contract:

A screenshot of Trey Flowers' deal. 10M of his 2021 salary and his 2022 roster bonus become fully guaranteed in 2021. Flowers has an good chance of turning two years and see to three years and see.

^^^^

Only a 6.4M cap hit for Trey Flowers in 2019. That helps quite a bit for this year and tbh not really a kick the can down the road type of contract when considering after year 3 (2021) is completed there only exists 11.2M in dead money for the last two years.

I was hoping for Steven Nelson. Could have gotten him for the same money. Still, the draft is deep at CB so there will be more opportunities then at slot CB.

Not in this market when fucking S are getting paid 14M APY. imo.

Malcolm Brown is possible but we will probably just resign RJF
RJF is the only guy our local sports chick ever interviews post game.

It's weird.

There has to be a half dozen more guys that played home games at Gillette. If anyone can find them, it's Bob Quinn. The hardest working man, in his house.

I like fishing ?

Did I call the Lions idiots? You asked if the Ravens were idiots also, basically saying I called the Lions idiots.

I think they overpaid, but it does fill a need. I like the player, but not the contract.

Whoooaaaa now.

I wanted Malcom Brown coming out of the draft but we got Tomlinson with that Broncos trade down and still bypassed Brown.

tbh, I'd much rather sign a good coverage LB and bring RJF back for 1-year.

you can relax now, TrustMe.
I have.

It's FA and the majority of the first wave of players signed are all overpaid to whatever degree one thinks.

I can only imagine how many trade offers he doesn't even bother to look at.

Knowing the Commissioner would never allow them to happen.

It's almost unbelievable this franchise still exists tbh.

Draft them or sign them? How the Lions will address linebacker

Free agents
Jordan Hicks is being considered as one of the top linebacker free agents this year. He missed the majority of the 2017 season because of an Achilles injury, but he recovered nicely in 2018 posting strong numbers, 91 total tackles, five tackles for loss, six quarterback hits, while only missing five tackles all season. He recorded a career-best 81.3 run defense score through PFF, but what he is known for is his coverage ability. Since the 2015 season, his coverage grade is 92.0, the only other linebacker to record such a score is Luke Kuechly. Lions Wire’s own Matt Urben recently profiled Hicks as a free agent to keep your eye on because of his versatility, coverage ability, and fit in the Lions defense. He may get paid more than what the Lions want to hand out, but he would instantly upgrade the linebacker corps.

Bill Belichick explains sneakily strategic philosophy on sacks

Pretty good article relating to QB Pressures by DL versus just sacks and how some Patriots Players numbers in sacks rise after leaving. just a very small sample.

a quote from that article below

“I think if you look at the overall passing game, the statistic that stands out the most in terms of correlation is pressure. So pressure on the quarterback leads to more bad plays than sacks do, in terms of turnovers unless you have strip sacks, obviously. That’s the No. 1. After that, pressures cause bad throws and potentially turnovers.”
