One player that I don't see being mentioned as a possible FA slot receiver is former UDFA and Charger's WR Tyrell Williams (6'4" 210 lbs.). He greatly filled in for an injured Keenan Allen back in 2016 and this was prior to drafting former Clemson WR Mike Williams. I'm not sure what the Chargers plans are for him on whether they have any intent in bringing him back.
The Charger's currently have an effective cap space of 25.9M. Rivers and Bosa are both in their last year but the Chargers obviously will pick up the 5th year option on Bosa or attempt to extend him some time in the summer. It's quite possible the Chargers could cut bait with WR Travis Benjamin and bring Tyrell Williams back and I'm not sure what other players need to be signed or could be cuts.

ooops.

I should've checked the not so accurate new market value on SpoTrac for Chargers WR Tyrell Williams. WR's getting paid if his market value comes to fruition.

if you click on his stats tab he has had some drops issues in the past (really bad in 2016, 9 drops) but he has reduced those year by year (6 drops in 2017 and 3 drops in 2018).

2 fumbles in 2018. 1 fumble in 2017 and 0 fumbles in 2016.

Top 101 NFL free agents of 2019: DeMarcus Lawrence at No. 1

Players of note

21. Za'Darius Smith .........….Edge

PFF credited Smith with 10 sacks, 17 QB hits and 33 hurries in the regular season, which is monster production for someone with 690 snaps. He plays with laudable fury.

40. Kareem Jackson...………....CB

Without question the hardest-hitting cornerback in the league -- and an egregious Pro Bowl snub -- last year. More of a safety-corner hybrid, Jackson's coverage skills aren't quite as consistent as his tackling prowess.

41. Adrian Amos...…………….....S

A Pro Football Focus darling ranked second among all safeties in 2017 and seventh in 2018, Amos completes his assignments with aplomb. His old coordinator, Vic Fangio, could try to bring him to Denver.

43. Tyrell Williams...…………….WR

Deep speed is hard to find in free agency and Williams has it. He would make for an excellent addition as a role player in a spread-the-wealth offense.

45. John Brown...………………...WR

Brown rewarded the Ravens for taking a chance on him last season, and he shouldn't come as cheaply this time around. Perhaps his old coach, Bruce Arians, will try to reunite with "Smokey" if the Bucs don't keep DeSean Jackson.

Top 101 NFL free agents of 2019: DeMarcus Lawrence at No. 1

(cont.) Players of note

52. Adam Humphries...……...…..WR

Good football player alert: Humphries is a tough slot receiver with good hands, easy separation between the numbers and a punt returner's ability to make something out of nothing after the catch. Julian Edelman -- after taxes.

56. Adrian Phillips...………………….DB

A former special teamer, Phillips earned his first Pro Bowl nod as a linebacker/safety hybrid in 2018. It's fair to wonder if he's best suited to Gus Bradley's defense, which makes heavy use of dime packages.

85. Steven Nelson...………………….CB

Nelson, 26, started all 16 games for the Chiefs last season, but he was often the guy who opposing quarterbacks targeted.

Roster Review: Will the Lions need Ricky Jean Francois’ leadership in 2019?

With younger guys on the line, bringing in a veteran with almost a decade of experience in the league is not a bad idea. Ricky Jean Francois has spent time with the Colts, Packers, 49ers, Washington and—wouldn’t you know it—the Patriots. RJF’s familiarity with Matt Patricia’s defensive scheme in 2017 would allow him to lead his teammates through the transition. The Lions signed the run-stuffing specialist to a one-year deal just days before training camp started, with hopes he would help lessen the blow of losing Haloti Ngata in the offseason.

Actual role in 2018:
2018 Stats: 16 games (11 starts): 30 tackles, 2.0 sacks, three tackles for loss
PFF Grade: 68.0 (70th among DTs)

As predicted, RJF was a great leader, who spent the season talking his fellow defenders up, like saying A’Shawn Robinson will be a top 3 run-stuffer in the NFL, and tweeting rookie Da’Shawn Hand is “going to be one of the greats in this league.” Can’t imagine that does anything but help a team. Under veteran Damon Harrison Sr. and RJF’s guidance, Hand had an outstanding rookie season.

Jean Francois was part of a four-defender rotation that shared a pretty equal percentage of snaps: Da’Shawn Hand: 455 (46.2%), A’Shawn Robinson: 415 (42.1%), Ricky Jean Francois: 405 (41.1%) and Damon Harrison: 357 (36.2%). Though I’d imagine Snacks’ count would likely have been higher had he been in Detroit the whole season. Leadership aside, 30 tackles and two sacks ain’t too shabby.

I sure as hell hope they bring back RJF for one more year on a Vet Minimum. Hand and Robinson both proclaimed in many local media interviews how much mentoring and leadership from RJF had boosted their play and confidence.

2019 Free Agency Profile: Tyrell Williams | NFL Analysis | Pro Football Focus

Tyrell Williams just completed his fourth season in the NFL, all with the Los Angeles Chargers. Over four seasons, Williams amassed 259 targets, 162 receptions and an impressive 16.3 yard per reception mark. Three straight seasons with 750-plus receiving yards should cause Williams to have a short stint in free agency.

Williams has proved himself as a true deep threat, catching a 75-plus yard touchdown in three of his four seasons and leading the league in deep pass yards in the first seven weeks of 2018 (291 yards). The Western Oregon alumnus’ 15.9 yards per reception ranks 10th among qualifying wide receivers. The four-year veteran has been the third or fourth fiddle in the Los Angeles Chargers’ offense for a majority of his career, but that hasn’t hurt his numbers with Philip Rivers throwing him the football.

It's a no for me on Ajai but wouldn't have a problem with Mike Davis on the cheap.

I'm surprised with the market value of ZZ but SpoTrac is usually more of a miss than a hit. imo

Yeah. Not interested in Ajayi. Way to much wear and tear for a "name" free agent.

I like your thinking but we won't be needing him when Metcalf runs a 4.33 and we take him with our 1st.

Actually Eifert would be okay as long as his contract is something like 1y 1.8m with 200k per game started and a 500k bonus if he starts a playoff game

Mayhew would be our GM if he'd figured out how to resign NS.

No doubt in my mind.

Fuck him.

Caldwell would be a better GM than coach imo i wish they had just promoted him and let him hire a new HC. This idiot we have now seems like such a corporate yes man.

Lions 2019 free agent profile: DB Kareem Jackson

The Lions have several holes to fill during the offseason, but with Glover Quin’s departure, Teez Tabor’s lack of development and not much depth outside of Darius Slay and Quandre Diggs, Detroit needs to add some pieces to their secondary.

There will likely be an option or two in the draft for the Lions at pick No. 8, including LSU’s highly-touted corner Greedy Williams. The team has plenty of other needs though, and many see defensive lineman and tight end to be the most pressing of the bunch.

Lions 2019 free agent profile: DB Kareem Jackson

If this were to be the case, then the Lions are likely to upgrade the corner position in free agency. Houston’s versatile defensive back Kareem Jackson could be one potential target for Bob Quinn and Matt Patricia.

Kareem Jackson
Age: 30

Position: CB/Safety

Size: 5-foot-10, 185 pounds

2018 Stats: 87 tackles, 2 INTs, 2 forced fumbles, 1 sack, 17 PDs

Career Stats: 559 tackles, 16 INTs, 5 forced fumbles, 2 sacks, 87 PDs

Why he makes sense for Detroit: If the Lions can get Jackson without breaking the bank, he’d provide an instant upgrade to the secondary. Slay, Diggs, Tracy Walker and Jamal Agnew appear to be the future, but they’ll be an inexperienced group without Quin. Jackson, who’s missed just two games in the past three seasons ranked as the No. 14 corner according to Pro Football Focus, with a rating of 79.5 in 2018. He played some safety as well for the Texans last season, showing his versatility to move around to wherever he’s the best fit. He may not have the 4.4 speed he entered the league with anymore, but he’s still plenty fast and a play-maker.

Why he doesn’t: How much is a 30-year-old stop-gap corner worth? It’s tough to say, but the Lions won’t be the only one looking to add the veteran DB, which could drive his price-tag higher than Detroit is willing to pay. The Lions have a specific need for an outside corner that can stop opposing quarterbacks from simply choosing to avoid Darius Slay. Jackson can fill that need, but he may be better suited for safety at this point in his career and that is not as big of a need for Detroit, even with Quin out of the picture.

Probability: Medium

Jackson is still an effective player but is unlikely to get any long-term offers. He could sign on a one or two-year, incentive-laden contract and that could make him more appealing to Detroit. He’s not the answer to all of Detroit’s problems on defense, but he’s an upgrade and solid veteran presence. I think the Lions would have serious interest if Jackson isn’t simply looking to break the bank one last time.

Kareem Jackson is my 2nd most wanted FA signing as it could relieve some pressure for the need to draft a CB early outside of a CB meeting BPA/Position Need. Most of these CB's need to be eased into playing time. Murphy, Baker, Williams should be able to earn CB2 away from Lawson and possibly Love and Owuraiye

DE Flowers would still be my priority FA signing.
