Honestly, that could be a motivator for the team.

I don’t think Taco is ever going to a successful player in the modern game. Just not a place for his skill set.

But, as an obvious fan favorite who everybody wants to see there are a lot worse ways to use that 12th active roster spot. Suit him up and let him be the human victory cigar that the home fans can cheer for.
Yeah, that's my prognostication on Tacko as well. I'd be surprised if he ever turns into a real NBA rotation guy.

I'd still like to see him get every opportunity to improve, though... he is better served getting minutes at the lower level.

Depends on what one means by "carry".

Can he play all 82 games and carry the Lakers to the finals like he did the Cavs a couple of years ago? No way.

But, could a rested and healthy Lebron take over in the playoffs and carry the Lakers to the finals? Yes.

My guess is that the plan is likely for Lebron to defer to AD in the regular season and then turn his game up for the playoffs.
was thinking the latter....agree no way he can play 82 ever again AND be himself for the playoffs.

Kind of.

He might get an extra bucket or 2 a game, but he is a garbage man. Regardless of who his teammates are, you aren’t running offense through TT. He gets his on put backs and drop offs.
Yeah....like he did while helping the Cavs to 4 Finals and a title.

Could do the same for a team who doesn't need him to score.

Once Rondo and Kuzma come back, KCPs playing time will be going down considerably. Especially if Troy Daniels, Cook and Caruso keep playing a lot better than him
Maybe bring Nickelson on to coach him up? He worked magic with Chief.

Through 2 games, I've seen nothing to suggest there will be any issues about touches/shots attempts for Harden and Russ.

29 shots for Harden tonight and 17 for Russ and still get his rebounds/assist numbers.

The biggest issue for Houston (which you have to assume will be fixed real fast) is James Harden poor shooting.

Well shit, let's just give them the O'Brien now.

Lol not deep

Great. Does this mean TT is now an offensive and defensive force because of his game last night?

Suns had 6 in double figures and another with 8 points, 8 reb and 6 assists.

Deep?

Clippers give up 122 to the Warriors and 130 to the Suns. Just the modern NBA or is their defense not very good?

Modern NBA.

Jack In The Box used to have a deal where, if the Lakers won at home and held the opponent to under 100 points, everyone in attendance got a coupon for 2 free tacos.

This season they changed it to win at home and hold the opponent to under 111 points.

In, I believe the 80's, the Lakers had Chuck Nevitt, who was only in the league because he was 7'5", over a couple of seasons and Lakers fans loved the guy. There were 2 ways to know when a Lakers game was over...Chick Hearn putting it in the refrigerator and the fans chanting "We want Chuck".

Well shit, let's just give them the O'Brien now.

Who said anything like that?

Point I'm making is pretty clear. A 5 year old could understand.

There was a lot of talk on here how there would be an issue over touches between the 2. That obviously won't be a problem. Both guys will get their normal attempts and Russ will stuff the stat sheet as always
