Well I mean that's kind of obvious though. Name a 3rd option in the league that a team wouldn't prefer they shoot over the #1 and #2 options?
But in this case 1 and 2 are much better scorers than Green. Often, you don't lose that much in scoring with the 3rd option.

He can pass, though, which helps...though have to think those assists come down with his passes going to JAGs and not Klay and Durant.

Osman is really not much better than replacement level, if at all.

But, 4 years 31 million is a good deal.
Yep.....if you want to contend he should probably be no more than your 7-8th best player.

Do you try to be a buffoon? In fact, Miami was better head to head in their matchups. But TT and HW put up similar #s against each other.

lol, if ANYBODY knows what being a buffoon is all about, it'd be YOU, laughing stock...

guess you've NEVER heard that numbers don't tell the whole story...

don't know what you're trying to accomplish here, clown. think you're going to argue me into wanting Triscuit...?

so far argument has really only been if the Lakers should want him (not if they could get him). To any reasonable fan it should be a resounding yes.

The Cavs got a 1 in a deal for George Hill. You don't think they could get one for TT if the team had assets the cavs would take? absurd.
Agree.

As currently constructed, it's reasonable to believe that either Philly or the Deer are coming out of the East.

In the Western Conference playoffs, you have the Lakers, Jazz, Nugz, Blazers with at least one, in some cases, multiple quality bigs.

At the very least, Thompson is 6 more fouls that would allow your best big to conserve some energy on the defensive side of the floor.

But, @shopson67 has a great point.

There really is no path to the Lakers or Clippers trading for Thompson because of his salary and our depleted war chests.

So, it's a moot point, unless he is bought out.

wasn't TT/whiteside. was chief saying the lakers don't need TT because he gets vastly outplayed by bigger/better centers. said he knew this after seeing Whiteside outplay him. Pointed out by shane whiteside and TT have played to a near standstill. He then listed 3-4 more centers who would destroy TT and TT outplayed them all last year.

*You claimed you don't want TT because he's too short and bigger/better Cs have their way
*You listed 4 such centers
*None outplayed TT last season

Accomplished what I often do in our discussions......refuted your opinions with facts. And you did what you often do. Deflected and would not acknowledge the facts.

yah thats what i was saying---- teams like the Lakers, Clippers, Rockets, Sixers, Warriors, Bucks all owe out future first rounders.

pretty crazy when you think about the lack of maneuverability that the vast majority of contenders have.

makes a team like the Jazz or Nuggets or Celtics- who maybe have some pieces/picks they can move maybe have a slight advantage in the trade market.

Probably true....unless a 3rd team got involved. Even then, not sure what the Lakers could give up as the 3rd team would want something. Though I guess they could dump salary for a 2nd (which the Cavs have a ton).

you named 4 guys you thought would eat TT alive. If anything, TT outplayed 3 of them last year, and the other to a standstill for their careers.

Just curious, if you said the obvious - "my bad. TT is better than I thought he was going against bigger, productive centers" what would happen to you? Some kind of SportsHoopla punishment?

I certainly hope not.

That would be tragic.
He's Blake.

Constantly trying to jump over everyone, constantly breaking things in the process.

Had Blake not developed a decent jumper, he'd be out of the NBA by now.

As it is, you can set your watch to him missing 10-20 games every year.

That's a lot of torque that Zion is putting on his joints at that weight.

i read an article about how much torque Kyrie putso n his joints with his different ball handling moves etc..... and that it does not bode well for his longevity. At some point the human body just isnt meant to stop and start so violently.

Think of how many high leverage miles LeBron has on his odometer at this point. its crazy.
