What that jerkoff doesn’t get is that a public figure like Jimmy Butler needs to keep his reason private initially to protect his privacy. Last thing he needs is a dozen reporters waiting to speak to him at the hospital.

@WiggyRuss making himself look like a total assclown yet again. It still amazes me sometimes just how ignorant this dude is. Players he likes can do no wrong and players he doesn’t can do no right.

while last comment probably true, seems like often we know about players having kids before the birth.

still no reason to rip Butler, though, especially before knowing the issue.

Yeah...I like Sexton but really hoped Young would fall to Cavs.
i think the Cavs did well with their extension of Osman.

4 year deal worth 30.8 million- the 4th year is totally unguaranteed.

8.75M next year
8.05 the following
7.35 the following
6.65 non-guaranteed the following year

This will take Osman into the prime of his career. The deal goes down in value over time, and the 4th year gives the Cavs significant leverage.

They have a similar type of deal with Nance Jr. as well. A declining deal that affords flexibility. Love's deal also declines over time.

Osman 4 year $31M...not bad at all. Need to see him progress this year though
Usual suspects will say way overpaid...that he should be a backup.

Guessing Cavs feel the same since they paid him like a backup.

Tonight showed Russ and Harden will be fine in terms of their numbers.

This was a normal Russ game that he would have in OKC. 24, 16, and 7

Harden having a bad night shooting. Not going to see him go 2-13 often.

Only thing from Russ that would take a hit is points and not by much but he is still going to get his assists and rebounds

lol

It's the first game of the season.

Which is exactly what you would be posting if they didn't "look fine in terms of their numbers" and someone said that last night showed it won't work.

my same exact thought...

let's see if there'll be any kinda friction mid-season or so. THEN we'll know whether to praise the Houston duo for making it work or not...

lol Harden not going to go 2-13 every night. They'll be fine in the regular season. Playoffs will come down to matchups.

Next year these are the Cavs under contract:

Love: 31M
Nance Jr.: 12M
Osman: 9M
Garland: 7M
Sexton: 5M
Windler: 2M
Porter: 2M

no bad contracts. They will have a ton of flexibility, and likely another high lotto pick to add talent to the roster- and mayb even an additional first rounder they trade for.

Only $67M committed to next year as of right now.

PG: Garland
SG: Sexton
SF: Osman
PF: Love
C: Nance

bench: Porter, Windler

when it comes to WiggityWack one thing is clear in practically all of his postings. the guy has a personal axe to grind. it's actually funny AND pathetic at the same time...

At this point...it's mainly just pathetic.

Wow 141 points geesh.

Do the Clips have so much depth they don't need PG to win games in regular season? Just like if the W's didn't have one of their stars...

Probably. They won 48 games last year. Just adding Kawhi would improve that number.

I don't think they could win a title with the current roster minus PG, but they could win a lot of regular season games and a playoff series or 2.

Trey dropped 38 and the Hawks looked good in the opener. Very exciting young team to watch. For those of you that don't know.

definitely thinking y'all got a winner there, bro...

They're not going to win more than 42 games but they are a fun team to watch. Young guys giving it all they've got. I like watching this team whether they win or not.

The West looks like it's going to be like the Wild, Wild West this year. Good times.

Depends on how the other young guys develop tbh. If he progresses I have seen parts of his game that I love, others where he needs to improve a lot. If Porter Jr is the real deal he would slide into that starting SF position. We will see but yeah $7M/year is backup money in the league so getting that contract is a great deal for the Cavs

Cap space doesn't do you any good if you can't get players to sign with the team.
