Decent chance that dude is gone for good.

He embarrassed himself even worse than normal.

Don’t be an ass.

I am simply stating what I believe Love’s value to be based on his contract and what the market value is likely to be.

Sure, 2 teams could get in a bidding war and drive up the price a bit, but there is a decent chance Love will be dealt soon and 1 of us proven wrong. So not going to do the back and forth on this again.
Don't be an ass = don't you dare come at me with logic

You used a report based on unnamed sources. I asked a fair question why you believe that report. You wont answer.

No more, no less.

Clear cap space, and gain a prospect at the same time.

Pretty clear really.

Real question is why did they extend him and take away much of his trade value?

Strikes me as an emotional move from Gilbert in the wake of LeBron leaving.
Cavs would be taking on a bad contract as you said and clearing cap space?

Maybe they extended him because they like him and feel like in a market where they cannot attract FAs he's a guy they'd like to have around?

Care to explain why a Cavs' exec would tell a reporter info that diminishes his own player's value AND makes the player look bad?

So if they like Love and want to have him around.....why trade him so soon after extending him?

They'd be getting an expiring contract and sending out a multi-year contract.

Love can help a team for another year or 2. But he's 31 and while his shot should age well, I doubt he'll be worth what he'll be paid at ages 34 and 35.

It's funny, but Kevin Love is good enough that he can only hurt the Cavs. He can't keep them out of the lottery. But he can win them a few more games and cost them ping pong balls.

I will patiently wait for you or shaqdaddy to find the poster who said anything about the Lakers schedule being easy in December.

If you guys think playing 14 of 19 against teams under .500 (which the Lakers did in November) is all of sudden not an easy schedule then good for you but the rest of us do think it is easy.

Once again, you can have an easy schedule and still be a good team. You guys are acting like just because a few of us stated facts that the Lakers schedule in November was easy that it means we all of sudden think the Lakers aren't a good team
Nailed it. No different than Clemson in CFB. One can mention they had an easy schedule because, well, they did. But same person can also think they are a vert talented team capable of winning a title.

Agree. That's why I wouldn't want them to try to take that record. If it happens organically, cool. But I wouldn't want them making any changes to rotations or anything just to chase that record.

I'd bet the Warriors would trade that record for the '16 title in a heartbeat.
I like how it went down.
