Yeah, I think that in the long run, the Cavs are going to be better off without Kyrie.

If nothing else, they're not paying him and will have some solid young players with potential to be really good and should have a fair amount of cap space. Especially if they move Love and/or TT, to be able to keep everyone together.

Looks like they may have their coach too. I got to watch a good bit of their game a couple of days ago and was impressed with how he handled those young 'uns.

I wasn't sure of how good of hire he was going to be mainly bc of the transition from college to NBA...but it looks good so far. They might not win a ton of games but for the development and teaching these young kids fundamentals.

what teammate do you guys think gave Dion the gummi?

I highly doubt it would be a rookie so lets rule them out. I doubt it would be Winslow since he seems too straight-laced. Highly doubt it would be Bam. Highly doubt it would be Dragic.

my guesses would be:

- James Johnson
- Jimmy Butler

@bksballer89 @Heatles84 what would your guys guesses be?

I know @CitySushi will take Jimmy for $1,000, Alex.

Knicks are apparently preparing to fire Fizdale.

Interesting. They gave him 92 games with a pretty shit roster and he got 19 wins. I mean that is terrible but the roster was terrible. Was never a big fan of Fizdale, I think he is an okay coach but nothing special.

Good win by the Raptors last night. Nice to get a win sans Lowry and Ibaka.

Great win last night.

Lmao @ the folks who thought the Raps were a lottery team.

It's early.

But, things look promising.

Siakam is the real deal.

I thought Siakam would take the next step, just didn't think he would be this great without Kawhi. I figured they would be a 4-6 seed and a playoff team but not championship contender. I guess they checked all the boxes, still imo the verdict is out on championship contender though. Sixers, Bucks and C's as well as Raptors are all tough teams.

Power ranking the Heat players most likely to give Waiters the gummies:
1 Kelly Olynyk
2 James Johnson
3 Jimmy Butler
4 Derrick Jones Jr.
5 Justice Winslow
6 Tyler Herro
7 Kendrick Nunn
8 Meyers Leonard
9 Bam Adebayo
10 Duncan Robinson
11 Udonis Haslem
12 Goran Dragic

Looks like Haslem is 11th on the list. It would be that Olynyk punk that injured Klove. I always knew he was a POS

Yeah, most of us thought that.

Bona fide playoff seed out East, not a legit contender.

I still think that.

But, a few thought they were a one man band and not even a playoff team.

I clearly recall @bksballer89 saying those folks were on bath salts....lol

They had a 20 game sample size without Kawhi last year.

I think they won like 17 of them.

As for Siakam, Shit....

He's taking Giannis-like leaps in skill/production.

I didn't see that coming.

I thought it would be more gradual.

He's not in the Giannis sphere.....yet.

Sure looks like he has a chance to get there.

he is more of a mascot than "on the team" at this point
Yeah.

And, I remember you saying they should make him a assistant coach and use the roster spot for a guy who plays.

I don't necessarily disagree with that.

But, some teams really need that veteran presence on the roster.

If nothing more, he's probably the only guy on that roster that can offset Butler.

If Jimmy comes for some of the youngsters like he did Kat and Wiggins, Haslem's probably the only thing standing between a fight or curling into the fetal position.

For all Butler's perceived flaws, he listened to the vets he respected like Wade.

They set him up to fail.

Last year, they had like 8 fucking point guards on the roster.

This year, they have 9 combo forwards.

The roster imbalance is simply laughable.

The fuck you sign Morris, Portis, Randle, Taj Gibson when you need to develop Barrett, Knox and Robinson?

Stupid move after stupid move.

He can't make wine out of sewer water.

No, not yet.

I'm gonna watch it after the Jump.

Did they explain where Ozymandias is?

He's on Earth. I think Dr. M imprisoned his ass on Mars. Did they give more clues on Will?
