If the expectation is there will be zero cop involved shootings for the rest of the country's history that is probably not a realistic expectation. There are shitty cops just like there are shitty people who are lawyers, shitty human beings who are basketball players. The issue is if said shitty humans aren't held accountable.
That's what this entire unrest is about....holding them accountable. It's going farther than it ever has, I hope it works

they want to go home and won’t be honest

I think some do. But think of how that plays in the public.

Ultimately I think the have nots push it forward along with the 50 percent of the stars that want to keep going. If they bail they may as well blow up the CBA.

They seem confused, they were pushing for a restart and now they want to boycott the season potentially. They dont know what they are protesting and all that does...well it does nothing. But if they cancel the season they lose NBA fans. I will be done

I keep seeing people talk on TV... players, talking heads, etc...

One thing I've noticed is how vague everyone is. Talk like:
  • We are sick of what's happening
  • We want change
  • We want to do something
  • etc., etc.
No offense, but such stuff is terrible social activism. And furthermore: it's destine for frustration and failure.

- If you have no definite goal, then everyone is gonna be on different pages.
- If you have no definite goal, then how you gonna get something concrete achieved?

No?
It's all being done on the fly. They're figuring all that out.

At least it will be a real sacrifice then, as @Gman demands

They should probably retire. What are they going to do? Stop playing anytime a cop is involved in the shooting of a black person?
They aren't allowed to be mad and speak up? This whole thing is new. If real reforms happen, hopefully the protests can stop.

I disagree.

They've been doing this for months... their decisions include sloganeering and now half-baked boycotts.

As we previously discussed, that may change after a meeting tonight.. we'll see.

But you can't honestly say this is new and that's why it's like this.

after this I think the CBA being blown up is an afterthought. I see no way that doesnt happen.

They had a plan that they discussed. Then more shit happened and now there's a reaction
You may not see it their way, but they are doing something

Yep change for the NBA...goodbye
Indeed. That's what Gman demanded, real sacrifice. They may be willing to lose fans and money over this. You know, the same shit they got called hypocrites for with China.

They are. They just better not cancel the season. Boycotting a day or 2 won't hurt much especially since some MLB teams are doing it as well but they just can't let this end the season. Won't be good in the long rub if it happens

They are set....99% of the people, aren’t. The regular 8-5 have to find a job or they have to file for BK.
