He already got covid

So basically he's refusing to play because he's worried about himself and not his teammates. Good shit man.
Listen, I have been saying this for months.

There is something fishy going on with Mitchell.

I honestly think he wants out.

THis grudge with Gobert is weird considering he didn't even get sick and could have gotten it elsewhere.

Agree.

But, it still sucks.

You guys put in the hard work to build chemistry and cohesiveness.

You played hard all year to earn homecourt advantage.

Then the pandemic happens.

It's bad enough that you lose the advantage of having a pro- Lakers crowd.

Now you need to replace 2 rotation players?

It's going to suck that you'll have those legitimate excuses when Portland puts you out in the first round.
:comeatmebro:

If Dwight refuses to play his NBA days are probably behind him.

The Lakers took a shot at him and up until now the experiment has been extremely successful but this might come back and bite him in the ass HARD.

I don't think his head is right.

He's dealing with being a full time father to one of his school bus sized fleet of kids.

IF he said he didn't want to play because of the sudden death of one of his 5 baby Mamas, I get it.

But, he's trying to stop others from playing and I have a problem with that.

If this post sounds passive aggressive, you're reading it right.

Kyrie is chronically unhappy, no surprise there.

The fact that the younger guys, and some older ones, share his mindset?

Yes, mildly surprised.

Chris Paul, Garrett Temple, Kyrie Irving......

All Elected Members of the NBAPA.

All 3 voted for the Season to continue under the bubble proposal AFTER the Floyd Murder.

All 3 are trying to sabotage it, to varying degrees, a week later.

I'm officially to old to relate to today's NBA.
Yup. I feel the same.

Then again, maybe so considering how much KD got roasted for joining a title team instead of leading his own.
I think his karma is bad.

Plus, he didn't leave the Dubs because of the roasting nor for basketball reasons.

He left because of jealousy.

As much as I want the season to resume I think it's too dangerous. How many players are really willing to take a chance of catching the virus? Because if the season resumes virus cases will appear within that bubble sooner or later.
I've asked this a few times and haven't gotten an answer...has any player who got the virus actually gotten sick? Seems to me even if these guys get it, it's not a big deal for them.

@DJ

Just had a ribeye for lunch. It was good. For dinner it's BBQ chicken thighs & mac 'n cheese.

:hungry:

Good question. I haven't heard of any NBAers getting sick.

Honestly, I was thinking about the Lakers this morning wondering if any of their players would sit.

Figured Dwight would be a lock to play since this is hands down the best team he has ever been on. It is funny, because you would maybe expect the young guy like Kuzma to be unsure, but the vet should understand how fleeting these opportunities are.

I don’t think any players will face long term consequences like Kaepernick has if they do in fact decide to sit out because the NBA doesn’t operate like that. But damn Dwight.

I crunched the numbers. And if the season does restart the Celtics will beat the Clippers in an epic 7 game series. Of course by my calculations I also have the Lakers getting knocked out in the 1st round by a Pelicans team led by Brandon Ingram & Lonzo Ball. So I might be a little biased.

We will never know....

But it would be karma if we find out later that Gobert got it from Mitchell.

Honestly man, I like the Celtics chances to represent the East this year. Not sure they can beat either LA team at full strength, but I definitely believe they can beat the Bucks.

Especially since they aren’t traveling to cold ass Milwaukee (yes I realize the playoffs are in the summer).

Have not seen a single report.

Towns' Mom and Patrick Ewing are the only people with direct ties to the modern Day NBA that I have heard of getting sick.

Obviously, both were/are older.

Again: If this was the reason for not playing, I wouldn't like it. But, I could understand it.

But, it's a moot point.

Because, they claim it's for Social Justice.

Like, did these tickets not witness the ratings for the last dance?

MJ is the GOAT and is still immensely popular.

But, ratings were inflated because it was the only show in town.

They can put BLM all over the court, on jerseys, warm-up shirts and billions would see it.

So, this stance makes ZERO sense.

I have the Celtics too.

But, if they lose Brown and others so they can protest, nah.

Kyrie logic at its finest.
