Eh...there's just a very vocal group of them. Obviously one in particular who against all odds are actually trying to defend the situation.

There is absolutely no way you can defend it without looking like a complete asshole though.

This isn't like a sports rivalry where you can defend the actions for a player because "they play on your team".

Now the only thing I will say is that we can not judge the actions of a few cunts as the norm for police officers.

I have worked with some very fine men and women in blue who have been outstanding in our community.

But i'm glad the assholes directly involved in this horrifying incident are getting their deserved punishment.

Winners: New Orleans Pelicans, Portland Trail Blazers

Though the Pelicans and Blazers would have plenty of competition for a playoff spot in the Western Conference, where five teams currently outside the postseason picture would be invited to resume the season -- the Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings and San Antonio Spurs would join them -- New Orleans and Portland are in the best position to benefit.

As of the shutdown, the Pelicans, Blazers and Kings were all tied for ninth in the West, 3½ games back of the Memphis Grizzlies. However, New Orleans and Portland have the strongest cases to perform better than their sub-.500 records in a tournament.

The Blazers, meanwhile, should be the closest they've been to full health since early in the season. Starting center Jusuf Nurkic, who hasn't played since suffering a compound fracture of his left tibia and fibula in March 2019, was due back days after the NBA shut down. And starting power forward Zach Collins also should be ready to return from shoulder surgery that sidelined him after only three games at the campaign's outset.

Blazers are definitely a big winner. Dame said a couple of days ago that both Nurk and Collins are ready to go. They badly missed them this year and its a large reason for their struggles. If that squad is healthy, its a top 5 Western Conference team. I don't envy any team that gets matched up with them in 1st round

I saw the video. It's bad.

I shared earlier that my Dad was a police officer for most of my life. I almost always side with the police in these situations.

There is no justification for what those officers did. 4 have been fired, 1 has been arrested and there may be more arrests coming (hopefully there will be).

There is also no justification for the people who are rioting and looting. Especially since the MPD took action so quickly.

No word on it yesterday but when they voted on it yesterday, it was 16-14 in favor of keeping the conference
