The New Orleans Li'l Lakers and Zion make a strong run at the playoffs, but fall short.

It's not completely irrational to think of a Lakers v Celtics finals with the way the league is balanced now.

I can't count 8 more West teams that will beat them this season... The Kings may have a chance to finish a seed above, but even if this happens, Jazz, Nuggets, Clippers, Blazers Rockets and GSW are only six more...

I can't see the Spurs ranking above, therefore it should be a run between the Lakers, the Kings and the Spurs for two spots... Maybe even 3 spots for four teams if GSW also joins the group fighting for one of the low playoff seeds.

They certainly can't pay for Beal, but if they are willing to part with Brown, the can land (expiring) Lowry...

Hayward + Brown + smth for Lowry should suit both teams fine, the Raps only have 29M of guaranteed contracts for next season, therefore would have no objection to "eat" Hayward if they can add Brown next to the VanVleet, Anunoby, Siakam trio...

The Celtics aren't in firesale mode... they're not just looking to jettison guys left and right. Your trade basically has Boston kicking Jaylen Brown to the curb just to be better able to kick Hayward to the curb. All to gain an expiring that wouldn't fit so ultimately he would have to get kicked to the curb too.

It is crazy talk from your side... It surely is! What is Lowry? Is he a jerk that some idiots are paying 33M annually? Or is he "done"?

Look mate... for the Celtics getting rid of Heyward's contract is "salvation" at the moment... They can then resign Lowry for 3/50M (given his age) and secure a back up combo guard to rotate for another 3 seasons... Then, next season they can use the MLE and have another addition out of free agency.

... Center would still be the weak(est) spot, along with depth... but if you're gonna have a weak spot in today's NBA, it might as well be Center.
