Soooo true. I like to think I’m rational but I feel stuff like this creep in. I’m worse with the Eagles from week to week.

Also, I think that unless they amputate Sean Couturier's leg between now and tomorrow night, he will play. This fucking dude is tough, we need him badly and I would still argue that he's our best overall player (especially when you start looking at cap hits).

But can he? It’s always tough to figure out what’s what with playoff injuries but with the new Covid rules for all we know the knee is kaput and he’s months away. I’m obviously hoping it’s not but we have no idea how badly he’s injured. That kind of contact he took can produce issues and he’s already had knee stuff in his career. Who really knows?!?!

And I’d play it that way too. Trotz is a matchup guy so playing coy with the lineup actually impacts the strategy and isn’t just psychological gamesmanship.

The dude looked completely normal watching from the stands and two years ago he played with a torn MCL, had 5 points in the final game. So, I'd put my money on him playing...

As I've mentioned in the past we have no idea how much of a leader G truly is and to be fair he may have only taken it on because there was no one else at the time. If you want to get into stats at one point he had more points than criesby. I'd rather stand behind G than that piece of shit....cup or no cup.

On a more positive note this team seems to be ahead of schedule some of that has to do with coaching but the vets play a part too.

Somewhere in there your gonna have to make room for NAK, if AV didn't play him would be one of the stupidest coaching moves I've seen in awhe.

Too many Nhl bodies that can suit up is definitely a good problem to have. The return of Raffl and Lindblom are both huge and in completely different ways. Raffl can play a very tough, hard-nosed brand of hockey and get to the dirty scoring areas on any line, plus he is very good defensively. Obviously just having Lindblom on the bench is an enormous boost inspirationally, even if he is not near 100%, he's probably not a liability in any way and theoretically would improve as he rounds into playoff game shape/form.

We get the last change here in game 7 and the Islanders should be feeling a bit like it's not meant to be for them at this point. I like our chances in this one either way, but especially if Couturier plays.
