Somewhere in there your gonna have to make room for NAK, if AV didn't play him would be one of the stupidest coaching moves I've seen in awhe.

Who do you take out? With the exception of Grant, I can’t say any of those guys deserve to sit over NAK in this series.

The dude looked completely normal watching from the stands and two years ago he played with a torn MCL, had 5 points in the final game. So, I'd put my money on him playing...
I saw a comment somewhere noting there were no crutches or knee brace. Both good signs.

I’d go Couts, Hayes, Laughton, Grant as my 4 centers.
G Couts Jake
Farabee Hayes TK
Lindblom Laughton JVR
Rafl Grant Pitlick
I go with Thompson over Grant. Thompson is better on FO and has some grit, will hit and mix it up. For me, Grant has been unnoticeable except when I say "WTF is he doing on the PP?"

Can’t say I disagree with you. I wouldn’t be upset if it were Thompson over Grant. Neither guy is giving the team much. I guess I’d go with the guy deemed to be better on the PK.

I think the Isles are going to come out tonight like they were shot out of a cannon and try to take control early. This really isn't there style, but they have to try something new. Flyers have to weather the storm and not shit the bed early. If we play our game we win. If we play their game, we probably lose.

I disagree. If Trotz is being honest, the Isles have looked best this series last weekend in Games 3 and 4. They played a counter game, laying in the weeds and put turnovers in the back of the net when they got their opportunities. I think they have played their best with Greiss behind them too.

Exactly. If it was that serious, we would either know by now or have seen some evidence that he can't possibly go. I don't think he'd be watching from the stands either if he had little or no chance of returning.

I’m starting to let that hope creep in. As you pointed out here, if we were looking at worst case with his knee then he’s likely out of the bubble getting a surgery or a second opinion prior to surgery. I’ve been won over.

Our penalty killing has to be better and Sean Couturier would be a huge piece to that puzzle. That said, I don't expect the refs to give either team a significant edge in power plays in a game 7 setting. They will probably swallow their whistles, for the most part. And if they don't, they probably should. Let them fucking play.

Good! The PP is for shit right now. AV needs a phone call from Doug Pederson: “AV, decline the penalty.”

Just imagine how good our defense will be after a couple offseasons of strength training, a few long playoff runs and some maturing/coaching. Maybe add one more piece via trade or free agency and it will be one of the best defenses in the Nhl for years to come.

If you think that then you've been smoking some real good shit. NAK has been pure energy, AV just has him out with the wrong folks. Dude has been the most consistent Flyer all season.

Then give a name and take somebody out. Pitlick? Nope. Dude kills penalties. JVR? Two goals in the last two? Lindblom? Why take away a guy the team is rallying behind? Rafl? He’s been more productive than NAK. I like the kid as well but there isn’t a name you can cite to take out that he is out performing besides Thompson and Grant and you need a 4th line center.

He's out performing Konecny by a long shot. Pitlik, one deminsional, Grant, waste of space, Thompson, waste of space. Besides an occasional PK these people bring absolutely nothing to the table.

You’re gonna take the leading goal scorer out of the lineup for a guy who had 15 points in 40 games? Talk about being a slave to the moment.

Konecny has 7 points and is +4 in 15 games playing against better lines.
NAK has 3 points and is +1 in 12 games.

Look who Konecny plays with versus NAK? Put Konecny out with Grant and Thompson and Pitlik, see if he still has those stats.

You mean take him off a line that gets special attention in the opponent’s game plan? He’s not a top 6 guy. You’re making me trash a nice player and a good Flyer. If Farabee Couts and Lindblom are healthy and available there’s no spot for NAK. It’s just that simple.
