so whats everyone been up to since the plague? I've been finding my inner Bob Villa and getting a shit ton of home projects done. Tiled my kitchen, put in wooden floors in three different rooms. Put in a new tub and toilet and have built 3 decks. Been pretty fun except I've done 95% of it myself. Getting old isn't fun when labor is involved lol.

Good call Raffl is an excellent bottom 6. Defensively responsible and has size and when he produces offense it a huge lift
Yeah he dominates in that role which is exactly what you want to see. Hopefully Farabee can do the same.

Well done! Been working 10 times as hard for 10 times less money otherwise it's been fantastic. Hockey has been a fantastic release and so far no covid. They're doing it right except for the schedule some teams have already played 3 games in 4 nights dog tired meanwhile Flyers sit...makes no sense.

We should definitely be looking to increase the intensity in these next two games. Don't worry about getting hurt or injured, just go 100% and see what happens. We have enough depth to not be shy here. Also, coming in as the 4th seed, we truly cannot lose our position, we can only improve on it.

I'm curious about the round robin game today obviously. If the Bruins win, that means everyone has a loss except us. If Tampa wins, we then have to win out for the top seed.

I hope we take care of business Thursday either way. We're at a slight disadvantage due to not owning any tiebreakers, but we could end up only needing a point against Tampa to clinch 1st.

Yep. Been refreshing twitter constantly for the sole purpose of looking for the time. Really hoping they get an 8pm slot, but I expect they'll keep the round robin games in the 12 or 4 slot. More 'casual' fans will tune in to the play-in round.

4PM start time get your day drink on!!

Screw you Tom Wilson!!

Utterly dominated by the Canes. They showed some fight yesterday, but Reimer shut them down.

Related, if the Canes are ever looking for someone to take Svechnikov off their hands, sign me up. Dude is a stud.

ditto on home projects.... completely new closet, pantry room, epoxy garage floor..... on and on.

JVR needs to drop to 4th line. or sit in press box, or wherever the scratches sit nowadays

Joel Farabee to enter lineup with Michael Raffl out; Alain Vigneault considering other changes

Please dont screw with the lines. Either have Farabee play 4th line or just put Farabee on the third and JVR on the 4th.

Reading the twitters from his press conference this morning, sounds like they may have a couple tweaks. Also, Elliot starts against the Caps. Sounds like AV is not interested in changing the Laughton-Hayes-TK line, which is good. And I can't imagine he's got any interest in changing Giroux-Couturier-Voracek either. So I think just some juggling in the bottom 6.

So JvR, Grant, NAK, Farabee, Thompson, Pitlick. With Bunnaman and Frost I expect as the next 2 in the pecking order. I expect Thompson would be the highest risk for coming out, and I think Bunnaman would be the more logical replacement in the bottom 6. Unless they moved Grant to 4C and Frost to 3C.

Also kind of expecting to see Ghost today. AV isn't a fan of dressing 7 dmen, but if he's really just trying to optimize the lineup for next week, I could see him doing that today. To ensure that Hagg or Braun don't miss a game to get Ghost one.

Practice at 230, we'll probably see some indicators there.

JvR and Bunnaman traded shifts on the 4th line today.

Pens on the brink!

Those games are so ugly. Montreal is not very good and the Pens just look totally out of it to me.

Yeah baby! It's game day. Hopefully Elliott has a strong game. We win today we lock up at worse the 2 seed. I think we beat the Caps 4-3. I'll take Provorov for my first goal on the power play.

I love it. Both #5 seeds are facing potential elimination tomorrow. These are actually the two series' that I've been watching or at least paying attention to the most to date. At this point, I think both Edmonton and Pittsburgh are doomed, even if either of them somehow make it out of the qualifying round. They would each get rolled in round one, barring a significant leap in their play.

The Pens were 15 points up on Montreal and had played in two fewer games. This would be an absolute monumental upset.
