Yup...all that cap space Hexy was clearing for years gone away in off-season. I guess on one hand its good we can keep our young talent. On the other, being maxed out on cap I would hope for more consistency/punch from the guys taking up the most of it.

Would help if we stop retaining salary for players no longer on the team through trades and cuts too...

Plenty of options for space. Not a great option, but Braun could go to long term IR. I am pretty sure this can date back to ehn he last played. More likely is sending a forward down as we have 13. Send Stewart down.

I would guess the only option would be to put someone on LTIR. That comes with minimum days/games they have to miss until they come back though.

I read that Braun /Ghost arent out long enough to put on long term IR.

Obviously Tampa is destroying people left and right as of this moment, but we are 14-2-4 on home ice. We passed the challenge of the best team in the Nhl and now we face the hottest team in the Nhl. It's a tremendous test, of course, but you just never know. A lot of our guys are playing very well right now and Hart has often been dominant in Philly. If we don't get exposed too often in our own zone, we should be able to score enough goals to make it interesting.
