Tough pill to swallow. We bend but not break the entire game against the hottest team in the Nhl. We kill off all four power plays (three in the 1st period) against a team operating at 28.2% efficiency. Then we end up losing 0-1 on a fluke bounce that probably could've been blown dead. Niskanen tried to do the right thing and bat the puck out of the zone, but it hits Maroon and drops right into prime scoring territory, then he somehow manages to punch it home.

The energy overall was up and down a bit, but I thought we took period 1, laid an egg in 2, took period 3, but ran out of gas late or just got discouraged with their level of defense/goaltending.

It would be pretty harsh to take any real negatives from this performance against a team that has been scoring just shy of 5 goals per game for weeks.

Surprisingly fun 1-0 game to watch. If any game were contested to a "draw" this would be it... except for the efffin' lucky bounce on Lightning goal. Really frustrating how this team can play with the best and yet languishing just below playoff line

You are correct that was a very entertaining 1-0 game. It would've been nice to get a lucky bounce in that game. We did have two of the famous JVR spinorama shots that you love so much. Funny now when i see him trying that move i laugh knowing how much you hate it. Well we have to rebound against Boston tonight

I think after watching the lack of offence in the Tampa game, AV decided he needed another center. From an article I read:

• The Flyers recalled forward Connor Bunnaman from AHL affiliate Lehigh Valley on Sunday and loaned winger David Kase to the Phantoms.

The move has a lot to do with the Flyers' play down the middle. The team wants to play Scott Laughton on the wing, where he's been more effective in greater minutes.
