Since two years ago another one of our old coaches went to the cup 2 years after getting fired in Philly it seems to happen to us more than other teams Crazy huh

Got impatient. Since the lockout in 04-05, 16 different coaches have coached their teams to the cup finals. Those 16 coaches had been fired from NHL head coaching positions a total of 22 times before coaching the team they took to the cup. The Flyers show up once, out of that 22. Laviolette making it with the Preds.

The Panthers show up twice.
The Devils show up twice.
Anaheim twice.

Montreal shows up three times.​
