I like watching Jokic play. Been watching him since his rookie year & his #'s have gotten better each year. Well not his 3 FG% last year. But he took more 3's (280) & made more 3's (111) than his previous 2 years combined. I think it's good that for a big-man he can step outta the key & hit some shots. And good call on his D.

I think he is horrible defensively.

So, I gotta thing this article's blurb is a bit of lipstick on a pig....lol

  1. If you're laboring away under the faulty assumption that Nikola Jokic is a horrid defender, please change the approach with which you study defensive basketball. Do more than watch the point of attack when he gets switched onto smaller players, and don't focus solely on his struggles protecting the rim as the last line of the Denver Nuggets' schemes. Only then will you realize that while Jokic might never become a defensive stud, he's at least a serviceable player who works within the Mile High City's strategems.

With a nose for rebounding that allows him to prevent second-chance opportunities, quick hands that can wreak havoc in passing lanes and an instinct for positioning, he's useful in those hidden defensive scenarios that may not result in possession-ending plays. That's why the Nuggets have consistently been better on defensewhen he's logging minutes—a trend validated by three consecutive years of positive scores in DRPM.

Don't know if you guys already discussed this....

But, is anyone else surprised Lonzo is ranked higher than Ingram or that Saric is ranked higher than both?

I personally think Saric is currently better because of size, age, years of competition overseas...etc.

But, I'm still surprised to see the talking heads agree.

Not sure what kind of crack they are free basing on the Lonzo over Ingram thing though....

Zingers, Jokic, Embiid, Simmons and Freak are no brainers.

Doncic will be much higher very soon.

If I had to pick......I'd take Ingram over Ball but Lonzo is another Jason Kidd in the making IMO....

I don't remember his name but that kid the Cavs drafted will be the ROY.

Jason Kidd will get fired. Which is odd since he's not coaching right now.

Pat Riley will retire @ the end of the season. The Heat will do a nice job honoring him on his way out. wiggy will shit himself w/ excitement over the announcement.

LeBron will lose more hair.

Lavar Ball won't be a loudmouth jackass during the season.
Just kidding.

Melo will be the reason the Rockets don't reach their ultimate goal. He's a jinx.

Kyrie will reiterate that the Earth is flat. And he will consider sitting out the A.S. Game unless people stop making fun of him.

Should be a fun NBA season again. I wonder how the Raptors do without Derozan.
