outlook was ok a couple of days ago imo...

now? not so sure...

If Lebron comes? Great. If not, move forward with the youth movement. I'd rather keep the kids then start reaching for questionable max-caliber players.

If memory serves, someone on here was saying Lebron and Boogie to the Lakers awhile back.

Forget who it was, but it's looking like that may be how things shape up.

MARCO BELLINELLI is my favorite move of the offseason.
He was sorely missed in the post-title year teams.

I was nearly 100% sure he would have picked SA instead of Philadelphia mid-season. That was a stunning rejection.
I am glad the Spurs corrected that mistake.

He has an uncanny ability to draw fouls and get to the line relative to the normal 3-point sniper guys.
It is a subtle but game changing importance over the other 3-point guys who dont get to the line.

Can I take credit for saying LeBron & Boogie to LA-LA Land? If not I'll just be glad when all this stuff is over. And speaking of Boogie how long will he be out?

Exactly. The Lakers are in a good spot.

Best case, they get Lebron and another max guy this year or next.

Worst case, they don't get anyone, preserve their cap space, develop the kids another year and go back into FA next year.

As long as they don't overpay 2nd and 3rd year guys, they will be fine going forward.

Agree with all of this.

The Thunder are interesting. If Westbrook can learn to use his help, they could be a real threat to the Warriors.

Watch the Thunder start to shed salary, starting with stretching Melo. No way can that market continue to support 200-300M per season without results.

lol Sure if you want.

Not sure on Boogie. I don't think he's supposed to be available at the start of the season though. Heard that his recovery is going really well and he may be ahead of schedule.

Cowherd isn't wrong about Westbrook being difficult to play with. But if PG feels like he can and he's happy in OKC, it's the right move.

And to be fair, there were times when they seemed to play together pretty well. The question has always been whether or not Westbrook can stop himself from playing hero ball when things get tough. If he can learn to remember he has help, they can do pretty well. I don't think they're beating the Warriors...but then, who is? lol
cowherd has said that no superstar will sign or stick around and play with him. He’s guaranteed it for the last 2 yrs. instead of saying I was wrong he is spinning

I'm not sure ahead of schedule is a good thing with achilles injuries. Don't rush it.

I could see that being quite entertaining. Lebron is a control freak and I can’t see cousins putting up with it

Well, is Playoff P a superstar? He's OK as a 2nd or 3rd option, but he's never going to lead his own team anywhere. He also proved to be not so bright with the contract he signed. A 2+1 or 2+2 would've been more lucrative.

Boogie would look silly in Purple n Gold. But then again so does anyone else. I'd wish your team good luck in FA but we both know it wouldn't be sincere.

Any contract with Cousins would have to be at a discount or short-term (or both). He's a risk in multiple ways, injured or not.

Oh, I agree 100%. Just means his recovery is going well. If the Lakers get him, I'd rather they bring him along slowly. No reason to rush him and end up setting him back.

Odds that LBJ signs with LAL are -5000 / field +1500.

Vegas thinks that its almost a sure thing that LBJ signs with LAL and they are very rarely wrong.......Its just a matter of time before he becomes a Laker.

How many guys in the league can actually lead a team? It’s a different gm with the stupid super team bs. He’s a top 15 player in the league
