That's just the cap in general. If Houston somehow gets a title during the contract, then it was more than worth it. Letting Paul walk would've put them back in middle of the pack territory again with no chance.

Lakers should probably learn their lesson with Paul George as it relates to Kawhi. Not saying trade the whole team, but at some point, you're going to have to give something up to land a top 5 player.
