Plenty of media members have called this out. Michelle Beadle was very passionate about this on The Jump.
Good because it is hilarious to listen to the media drool over a bs story

cmon they dont play real football in the Pac 10 (12)- we know that!

USC is 68-29-2 vs, the Big 10 all time.

Prior to the last Cotton Bowl, tOSU hadn't beaten USC since 1975.

The PAC-12 as a conference has a winning record all time vs. the Big 10.

Whatever kind of football they're playing in the PAC-12...it's clearly better than what they're playing in the Big 10.

Especially at USC.

So no, I don't expect him to be taking days off to go to Disneyland, however, he probably isn't going to be playing balls to the walls for all 82 games in the reg season like we've seen him do in Cle.

I'd say that not having to do that is a big part of why he's in LA.

This guy is really dumb. Hope both offers are off the table now.

Capella needs to realize that he only thrived because he has two-playmaking guards that are excellent in drawing defenses in that allows him to get easy buckets in the paint. He's a good defender and rebounder, but that doesn't make you (Capella) a max player. He should be around $15-$18 mil as a starting center, which is what the Rockets offered him.

It's unfortunate for the Rockets because they're a quality organization and are going to be forced in one of two situations:

1) Overpay for Capella next offseason
2) Or lose Capella to free agency because some team will be dumb enough to give him a max contract.

Plenty of media members have called this out. Michelle Beadle was very passionate about this on The Jump.

Bill Simmons had Daryl Morey on his podcast and asked him about whether teams violate the tampering rules all the time. Morey responded "Teams follow the letter of the law" which got a big laugh.

It's a complete joke. European soccer has the exact same problem.

Exactly. In fact, when he was the Lakers GM, Mitch Kupchak was criticized for being the only GM who actually waited until the official start of FA to contact anyone.

Agreed. I think he was looking for the ideal option to transition into retirement - which is why I believe he signed the 4 year deal.

It's literally all he has left.

Whiteside had a injury riddled season, combined with a horrible playoff series. No question.

I do question Spoelstras useage, but if hes still on the team this season, its water under the bridge.

I havent forgot what made him the only player, ever, to go from a minimum to maximum salary in one season.

He can play.

Yea, I'm not sure why he thinks he's worth that much $. He!! $85 over 5 is VERY generous considering he isn't a special talent or doesn't do any 1 thing exceptional.

lol....cmon now dude

the last time ANY Pac-10 team won a National Championship was 2004- and you of course know that National Championship was vacated because USC was cheating..

before that, except for USC SHARING a share of the National Championship in 2003 with LSU, and, once again, a SHARED title in 1978 and a SHARED title in 1974

This is no joke- the last time a Pac 10 (12) team won the national title outright ALONE, and that title was not revoked for cheating was - get this- 1972!!!!!!!

College football national championship history

The College Football Playoff has been around for 4 years....Oregon made it one year and Washington made it another year....Oregon of course won against FSU but then was slaughtered by the Buckeyes. Washington made it one year and was slaughtered in the First Round. 1 PAC 12 Win in 4 overall years of the College Football Playoff.

The Pac 10 used to be good maybe when YOU were in your prime, but nowadays, the Pac 10 is like a man in his 70's that has even given up taking viagra-- just utterly flacid. Just a very weak conference nowadays. Obviously miles behidn the SEC, and also behind the Big Ten and ACC......AT best the 4th best Conference- and the Big 12 certainly has an argument as being better over the past decade plus.

These west coast teams are just too soft nowadays.

You could tell they were both having fun with each other. The two most impressive shots were Embiid's behind the back dribble drive to the hoop and the pull back Tatum did that they slow mo'd. That was just crazy ankle breaking footwork by Tatum.

we have two generational talents in the east. the league will sleep on the east. if embid stays healthy he will be better than the brow. embid is just so friggin awesome. my hate/love for him could develop like it did for magic. and i love that these kids are serious about the next level. they both will be first team all stars for years to come. and i love the drew henson videos and teachings

At this point he should just play on the qualifying offer and become unrestricted next summer. If he repeats his level of production he had this past year, he'll get the numbers he's looking for in 2019. There's way more teams that will have cap space and he'll be unrestricted so more teams will make offers. No one has space left and those that did expected Houston to match so that's why he hasn't drawn much interest. It's a bit of a gamble to play on QO because of injury and you could end up like Nerlans Noel but I'd do it if I were him. He's better than Noel ever was. Take the QO and bet on yourself
