This is gonna be a fun season to watch. I had fun watching for development last year. Now this year, I wanna see how LeBron accelerates that development. Also, another thing to watch is if we stick with the same offense. It'd be the first time in Lebron's career in which he played in an ball movement offense if I'm not mistaken

From what I read online it seems like the Bulls will still have a lot of cap space next offseason to try and land a big FA. But yeah it was a questionable offer sheet and match.
The problem is the bulls never sign big name free agents. Seems like free agents go to warm weather cities

Luke's system will change the way 4's play

I can see Luke getting fired before the end of the season

I hear all of this talk about patience but with Lebron on the roster deep down Laker nation is going to expect the Lakers not only to make the playoffs but make some noise in the playoffs

If the Lakers are struggling during the season there is going to be pressure to turn it around and Walton will end up being the fall guy

Next coach of the Lakers will be Derek Fisher

Lol, why?

All this talk about Luke getting replaced is hilarious bullshit. For a guy in the position he's been in the last two years he's done a fantastic job.

If the Lakers end up with a losing record would he get fired? Yeah, maybe. But so would Steve Kerr, Mike D'Antoni or Brad Stevens.

Nobody is expecting the Lakers to win a championship right now.

Are you going to 'Stephen A' us and say that Phil Jackson is going to be the head coach next?

Spo retooled the Heat's offense after that 2010 loss to feature more movement. It stopped being "Lebron's turn, now Wade's turn" isos into a more free flowing team. Lebron became damn near unstoppable. Probably the best he's played prior to last season.

I'm more interested in how much Lebron is willing to decrease his workload. He says that's what he wants, but shit changes when your midgame and you realize you do this better than anyone else in the world. I don't think he'll be like the Cavs Lebron last season where he's controlling like 95% of the offense. But I bet he'll still have control most of the time. Something like 65 to 70% with 30/35 going to Rondo/Lonzo whoever is out there

That brings up an interesting point, what if LeBron surprises you and is a total team player and low maintenance and good for the kids and brings a title like in 2020 or 2021? Maybe that's where he's at ready to be an elder statesman in a way Jordan never was.

I guess I'm wondering, in good faith, is there ANYTHING the guy can do as a Laker to make you change your opinion some?

The real wildcard here is how well and how quickly the Lakers are able to gel as a team. As I said upthread I think it is entirely possible that the Lakers will have a losing record at the half way mark.

This is a very solid point.

If I remember correctly, when the Big Three hit Miami, their first month together, they were something like 9-8.

It did take them a while to gel.

I can see some early struggles in LA too.

Well, let's just hope that the cryptic Instagram messages/etc. moments of calling someone out without really calling them out stay away this year :hope:

Let's agree it's unlikely. But what if it happens? How will you react?

Do you think Lebron is a Laker if Jim Buss is still running things?

Yes. He hated Gilbert and still came back. He wanted to live in LA and start his full blown Hollywood lifestyle
