I literally said Oregon State is going to win the whole thing after Arkansas missed the foul ball yesterday.

Said it out loud.

I was the only one that heard it but still.

I was just talking to my friend about that stuff.

Who is the last team to come back from a brutal loss like that to win a winner take All Title game?

Only 2 teams in the history of the CWS have lost their opener, then lost the first game of the championship series, and won the championship.
They were both Oregon St.

What a great pitching performance by that kid. My Heavens.

Casey, I believe was kinda torn between what to do with him
as that pitch count grew. He knew he would have to drag him
from the mound, kicking and screaming. The 2nd hitter in the
9th, the count went 3-2. I was pretty sure that if he walked that
kid, They would have taken him out. Yeah, they wanted him with
the complete game shutout, but they want to protect his arm.

I also thought that Casey would have liked for him to come out
to the ovation he deserved. But he got him out and then fanned
the clean up hitter. Storybook finish. I have never seen anybody
throw a curve ball that hangs and then snaps. He was poison
to Arky's hitters. He kept them off balance the entire night. He
was the perfect kid to throw against them. They had no answer.

Props for the OSU Catcher also. He's a bigtime player. BIG TIME.
I was impressed with him every time I watched them play.

And the moral of the story is something that Mr Wallace has been
jabbing at y'all. 9 inn...27...! Arky would have been National Champs if they hadn't given OSU 28 outs on Wed. Night.

It's 6 hours by car to Fayetteville. Walking at a rate of 20 miles
per day, the Arky 2nd baseman should get back home around the 20th
or 21st of July. You gotta feel for that kid, also. He'll take that
to his grave.

The series will go down as one of the series of what ifs. Arkansas had a chance of putting the game away and winning the CWS when three guys had a chance of getting that final out, and ended up missing that cue. Pretty embarrassing for the team to not execute that money shot.
