I get it, I'm one of the biggest Russ bashers here. But dude is still averaging over 20 ppg, a triple double, on a team 3rd in the WC standings. That's gotta count for something.

His efficiency is atrocious.

Always has been. That hasn't stopped him from being up there on the All-NBA teams and an MVP award before.

@flyerhawk I mean I have him 2nd team. I think if you had him 3rd team, it's not really a point of contention for me. The only thing I can think of is do you not even have him on any of the all NBA teams?

His efficiency numbers are really bad even by Russell Westbrook standards. His 3P% is a career low(22%), his eFG% is a career low(45%!!), his FT% is a career low(64% first time below 73%), and of course his FG% is a career low(42%).

His aggregate numbers are high because the offense runs through him on every play he is on the floor.

So do I think he is one of the 3 best PGs in basketball this year? No. I would probably have him 6th(Curry, Harden, Walker, Dame, Simmons, RW)

Irving calling out his team-mates.....LOL. He's going to end up leaving Boston via trade or FA.

Hopefully Ainge can pull off a decent trade. I wasn't happy when he got to Boston.

I personally think it all depends on how far Boston goes in the playoffs this year. That team has a bright future. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side

Pippen thinks Zion needs to shut it down for the season because he can get hurt. Pippen needs to STFU....

I don't really see the need for college basketball players to shut it down, especially if they're at the top of the food chain. NBA teams are still going to take a flier on him and with NBA contracts being guaranteed he's at worst a lottery pick even with an injury. As for like say Football, that could actually just ruin your entire career with an injury. Since contracts aren't guaranteed, teams can cut you at any point if they feel you're not worth the time.

BUT, there might actually be some merit to what Pippen said based on Zion shutting it down to solely train for the NBA. At that point it might make sense for him to just hire an agent, withdraw from school, and then hire a team of basketball trainers to help him with any current holes in his game. That actually might be better for his career.
