If you agree and think it's foolish to question Klay being better than Harris and Butler it is you who doesn't understand the NBA.

I haven't read the rest of the replies on here, so I am sure this has been covered.

But you are making a fool of yourself with comments like this.

With Butler, it is debateable. If you have to take one to be the franchise cornerstone, I am taking Butler, but my team won't be very good if either is my best player. As a 2nd option though? Give me Klay all day. Klay has been the 2nd option on a championship team and he is the ideal complimentary player because he is always a threat and he doesn't need to play with the ball in his hands like Butler does.

Tobias Harris is a nice player, but it in the same tier as Butler and Klay. Not even close.

This is the most sane thing posted. I guess the premise that Jimmy Butler or Tobias Harris would be a better #1 is absolutely arguable. But if you're looking at at #2 player or lower, Klay is the obvious choice every time.

Warriors won a championship and had another season of 73 wins with Klay undisputedly as their second best player. And this is coming from the biggest Draymond fan here on the site.

And I definitely don't want Jimmy Butler or Tobias Harris as my best player either. Because that is surely first round playoff exit at best.

Yeah, we lost by 42 points last night and you wouldn't expect me to be this happy but I am. The 8 seed just traded their best player and are clearly now hoping not yo make the playoffs.....we didn't add AD but we did improve our outside shooting getting Bullock and he actually plays defense.

Can't believe the Bulls would trade for an over-paid player like that.....wow.

Klay is undoubtedly a better fit for the Warriors than Butler would be I will say that.

Klay is a better fit for just about everybody. I agree you don't want him as a creator, but even then I think he could maybe be a number 1 option a la Reggie Miller. Klay is like Reggie 2.0 with better defense.

You would definitely need to run a smart system based on a ton of ball movement and off ball screens for Klay, but I think it might not be completely terrible. Like maybe that team could make the playoffs if they were really well coached and had some good role players in place.

Like others have said, Klay as a #2 is straight money. Every star wants a Klay Thompson on their team. Butler is a headache.

Curry, Green and Iggy (the MVP).

Klay was the 2nd option offensively.

Green and Iggy are facilitators/defenders first and they score when left open because the defense focuses on the splash brothers.

Really? What did Chicago trade for him?
Bobby Portis and Jabari. The Wizards either like Portis, just wanted to get out of one of the big contracts, or both.

"Wizards now out of luxury tax jail/potential repeater taxes. Which none of you care about, and shouldn’t. But dealing Porter for Parker’s $20M (team option for next year) gives Washington opportunity to re-sign Satoransky and/or Bryant. The only reason this would make sense."

Not happening but James would love him and find him for an open shot a lot.

And Bobby Portis is gonna be a RFA, so maybe this was just a salary dump for the Wizards.

Have we confirmed Klay can even crossover?

Video evidence?

Does he need to?

The most efficient players stick to the things they do best. Klay doesn't need to break anybody down because you have to close out on him really hard to chase him off the 3 point line.

Why would someone being a cavs' fan matter in this discussion. A good poster bases his comments on the post. Not the poster. If wiggy were saying what you are I'd openly tell him I disagree.

No to your question as they have a slightly lesser version of Klay in Redick.
Slightly LOL

Salary dump all the way. I doubt Portis gets resigned unless he comes on a cheap deal.
