I can easily tell you why I don't think he is. He can't create his own shot. Butler Can. Klay is a better shooter but Butler is very good. Both are solid defenders. Butler also a better rebounder and passer.

Butler is definitely a better all around player-

but again- i hate Butler and think he is a clown and would never want him on my team.

I would have considered Draymond to be more important myself. Klay in a close third.

I'd say he was 4th in 2015 behind Green, Curry and Iggy. Green was going to be MVP in 2016 had GS won, no doubt and Curry was better than Klay (but it was closer than other 3 years between the 2 of them). No way he was ever better than Curry or Durant in the last 2. Probably not Green either.

Because finals is all that matters right? No larger sample size needed?

I guess it's just clear to me you don't see any nuance or context in the game of basketball. That's fine, it's not likely we'll agree on much in the future.

wouldn't call Harris, meh, but I get it. I think Butler is unquestionably a more valuable player than Klay. I think Harris is, but that is closer IMO.

Harris is underrated but he isn't Klay or Butler imo.

LOL I never said Klay should be a #1 anywhere. In fact, I've already said I believe he knows this as well & is the reason why he won't leave the Dubs.

You can look at the entire seasons if you'd like. Wont change. Klay can shoot and play some D. Perfect for that team, sure, but I doubt many think they'd be better off losing Green over Klay for a stretch.

Part of what makes the Warriors great is them accepting their roles. Butler is too me me me for them.

I think that's a no brainer for the reasons you gave earlier - NO wont be trying to contend for at least 4-5 years (or longer). will Lebron even be there then? If not, who knows what AD will be left with.

I do disagree about Pop, though. If LA had drafted better and could offer a better package I think they'd have traded Kawhi there.

I can agree that Klay can't create his own shot. If he ever did work on that though he'd be a monster on offense.

maybe if the Lakers had a Fox or a Tatum or something like that-

but what do they lose? The chance to pay Brandon Ingram? Ball asking out of town? Some late first rounders?

Yes, drive down the price that other teams are willing to pay.

Do you want to give up a Tatum or Fox or someone like that if you know there's a good chance that it's for a 1 year rental?

If you know he'll re-sign with you, you absolutely offer whatever it takes (which is why the Lakers a basically offering everybody and a bunch of picks).

But if you think he's likely to be a 1 year rental, why give up guys like that?

I don't think it's splitting hairs because at some point it's probably a decision the Dubs will be faced with (between Klay & Dray).
