Curry is great. A legit top 5-6 player.
But, I also think part of the problem was that he was a tad overrated during his MVP years, just as he is a tad underrated now.
Truthfully, he has always been somewhere between 4-6.
So is Boston going to get the trifecta this year with the BoSox, Patriots, and Celtics?
he has to qualify though
if he is averaging like 10 points a game and then gets his ass benched because they pick up like some schlub like Greg Monroe off waivers then and he finds his ass glued to the bench then i win.
if so deal.
I agree, but the MVP has never been about who the best player in the NBA was. Otherwise Jordan and Lebron should have won every year they played. The MVP is a combination of what your production allows your team to accomplish. Curry's production is what has created the entire Warriors team. In terms of being able to cultivate a team to fit your style of play and win at the highest levels still doing so, only him and Lebron are at the top of this list (could argue Harden as well). The Warriors are the Warriors because of Steph. Any team that Lebron is on, accomplishes what they accomplish because of him. Who else in the NBA can you say that about?
well cmon now we gotta be reasonable.Okay.
But if he fails to qualify because of long term injury and is over 8PPG, then I still win.
You only get the qualification clause if it is DNP coach's decisions that get him.
that is a fair point

if he gets 9 points tomorrow and then snaps his achilees i hardly qualify that as avergaigng 9 points a game. There has to be some kind of reasonable medium here- i mean- the guy hasnt barely averaged 20 minutes a game for over half a decade now- the wear and tear on the guy if he is playing 25-30 minutes a night- on a 7 footer that hasnt carried that load for years is going to be substantial if he does continue to play.
