That was a helliva game, bravo Sixers

Great game. Seemed like Steph couldn't miss 3s and then aired that long 3 late in the game that nearly sealed it.

Simmons was an absolute defensive beast tonight. And putting him in the post late in the game with Jimmy running point really changes the look of the team in crunch time.

Sixers still need to make some moves probably in the buyout market though. Bolden is promising but he can't play more than 8 minutes in a playoff game.

In order for the Sixers to go far and be really successful, Simmons has to be the teams 2nd leading scorer. Butler needs to keep the defense sharp and score when needed.
i don't think i would need to say who the second scorer should be. embiid should be the guy that starts it, butler has shown he can finish it, simmons is the PG, he needs to fill in whatever role is needed of him at the time, he rang the bell tonight.

I am pretty psyched that the East is so wide open, with 4 legit very good teams fighting it out.

Warriors bench is not great, and especially when they are resting a key guy. Sixers had to make hay with the bench and they did, bigly.

He's right though. The Warriors don't have much depth. If they lose one of Steph, KD, Klay it really hurts the team. The Sixers won a game where Embiid was 6-24 and Butler scored 7 and was 0-6 from the arc and Steph scored 38. Huge win for the Sixers but I don't think the Warriors would be too upset about losing that game.

it really has been 4 deep for the most part. i'd have said 5, but that oladipo injury is a big hurt to that, i still expect the pacers to try their luck this year, but if they're selling off, they have a lot of nice expiring contracts of cats who can play, could really be some game changers in a tight race. that said, with the nets healthy, they're looking nice to, add a cat or two there, put them in the conversation.

The Pacers are reeling right now. Haven't won since Oladipo's injury.

from that same depth perspective, the sixers got a boost from their rookies Shamet and Bolden, so depth is relative, thompson out, don't the warriors still win there?

Derrick White

I am very happy to be completely wrong about a player.

Either Pop got blind stinking lucky or simply needed to let him develop in the G-league last year like some Genius Savant.

He is the best defensive guard on the team and is also capable of getting 12-16 a night.

Sort of a lucky Godsend out of nowhere it seems more likely...

Lakers pull it off in overtime. The way it was going, looked like they were gonna blow that game for sure. But Lebron is back and they got a W which is all that matters. Time to claw their way back to a playoff spot

Par for the course with the Spurs, turning late round draft picks into quality players. I'm waiting on that luck to finally run out.

Sixers are scary if they can get another player or 2 off the bench. Also bucks final record will be 61-21

Would be a terrible hire

Would not be my first choice,

But he also never had a chance in NY. Was forced to run the triangle offense on a poor roster for heavens sake. He might not be a terrible coach.
