I believe @Shanemansj13 said Doncic was untouchable... but not Simmons and Tatum.

I could be mistaken, though.
I would agree that Doncic has more value than either Simmons or Tatum and is likely untouchable.

He is under team control and cheap for a long long time.

Tatum and Simmons will be eligible for RFA soon, get pay days. And honestly- Doncic looks like he will probably be better than either of them.

As far as trade value goes, I am not sure there are too many guys with more trade value in the entire league as Doncic.

Tatum is only one year in front of Doncic... he's similarly valuable in many of the same ways as Doncic.

... that aside, I don't necessarily disagree with you.

James isn't playing until Magic trades for AD or another player.

I'm convinced. He should have been back by now.
Have to say I love how the narrative changes with the fanboys of Magic.

If Lebron were in Cleveland, the FO would get ripped for this.

Sitting out?
it is getting weird

right when it happened it was "we dodged a bullet- we got lucky"

now he is sitting out what? his 18th straight game tonight? Its getting strange- either that or they just blatantly lied to us from the start.

Dude is 34 and coming off a season where he played all 82 games and played a TON of high-stress playoff minutes and had been playing on the Lakers with really no great players to take the pressure off him.

Maybe he is sending a message- i am too old to do this on my own- make the deal.

Its no coincedence Rich Paul shook the Davis tree at this time despite it being a pretty scummy move to demand a trade right in the middle of the season when you sitll have 18 months on your deal. Talk about throwing your teammates under the bus and just totally having no regard for the health of the organization.

I thought he had an option, missed that. Still, ff they rent AD, they will have one season after he leaves (after 2019-20). Who would the Bucks have left after giving up Middleton/Brogdon/Maker and filler/picks to get AD?
Better question is why on earth would NOLA do it?

Outside of the Celtics, Lakers have the best assets.

Plus, Middleton can , and likely would, walk this Summer.

So, 3 months of Kris, Brogdon and Maker for Davis?

Hell no.

Fanboys of Magic?

I'm not happy with this at all. James signed with the Lakers, he needs to have his ass out there playing. This was supposed to be a minor injury.

Yeah, makes no sense for NO to do that.....if that's all they'd get.

I dont know why anyone has any trust that Magic is actually good at his job.
Well,he got LeBron.

We can't trash him for dealing Russell, letting Randle walk when it led directly to the LeBron signing.

I will say, he Shit the bed picking Lonzo over Fox.

But, until he wiffs this Summer, you can't really bash his other moves.....yet.

Yeah, if he struck out on James.....he'd have a point.

Based on what teams have now...

Celtics, Lakers, Knicks have the best talent to offer.

The Knicks are in the same situation as the Lakers.

They need to get a deal done by the deadline.

They can't include Porzingis after that.

Plus, I highly doubt they would go the nuclear route of giving up that pick, Zingers and Knox.

They should have learned their lesson with Melo.

Not trading the Lonzo pick or Ingram for PG was pretty bad if you ask me.

and he had plenty of cap room to sign LeBron without letting RAndle go- Randle was not signed because he was afraid of how it would affect the cap space THIS summer---- as Randle got less than KCP got per year- but KCP got a 1 year deal- and ironically- Randle only got a player option in his 2nd year that he will undoubtedly option out of- making his deal a 1 year deal.

The Russell/Mozgov thing is interesting- because we have no way to compare it to anything---- but I think we can agree that giving up a #2 overall pick to get rid of a bad contract is just bad business- but it was critical to get LeBron.

Lonzo over Fox and Tatum is really bad. If they would have drafted Fox or Tatum there is a more-than-decent chance they could aldready have Davis playing if you ask me as that is precisely the type of young building block the Pels will be looking for.

And of course you know, and I think many people agree, that I think the Lakers signings in the offseason- bringing in a bunch of former nut-jobs that cant shoot- just makes no sense on a team with LeBron.

I mean- is there a move that Magic has made that gives you confidence that he actually knows what he is doing? I sure have not seen it.

id much rather have Knox and a top lotto pick than anything the Lakers can offer---- especially if i was going into a full rebuild.

Yeah I think if the Pelicans are going into rebuild mode, they will be seeking a high draft pick.

I gotta say--- my excitement is being reserved for the Browns.

The Tribe should be very solid again, but the Browns are the ones that have Cleveland abuzz right now.

So much young talent, cap space, extra draft picks, a great GM, and of course BAKER.
Told someone before football season I thought Browns had the best chance here to win a title. say what ya will, though, about Dan Gilbert.....if he owned the Tribe I'd pick them.

Sounds to me like his dad is trying to put GS on notice and drum up anxiety so they offer Klay the max.
