It's better than what we had because it does involve more teams. But, we also end up with the same debates that we had with the BCS and the "Bowl Alliance" (or whatever that was).

I'd say that any time you have a system where part of a teams case is that they have "better losses" than other teams, the system at least needs to be tweaked if not replaced.

I'd say the playoff committee got it right. Playoff expansion is dumb. Pretty soon people are going to start talking about expanding from 8 to 16, to eventually what's done in college basketball (not even possible).

People complaining about UGA being left out need to put things in perspective. The CFB playoff is there to determine who's the #1 team in the nation outright (better than the BCS system). UGA is without a doubt a top 4 team in the country, but we know they're not the best. They had their chance against Bama, and failed.

I agree....i actually think that OSU and UGA would beat both ND and OKL. but you have to take care of business.

Expanding the playoff would take away the importance of the regular season and the college football regular season is a lot of fun.

oh well...the Rose Bowl is a nice consolation prize.

fortunately, or unfortunately, the Buckeyes will probably slaughter the best team in the Pac 12 again this year.

Getting better or taking advantage of a favorable part of their schedule?

They did to lose to Orlando at home and got destroyed by denver in the last 7 days.

A home win over Indy without their best player and the Suns are games they should win

The game against the Nuggets was an off shooting night, 5 pf 35=14%, compared to the season average of 35%. I remember somebody else on here telling me that......the average thing, maybe you know who that was?

We beat them earlier this season so it's not like they own us.....and the Magic? For some reason they just have our number.

I had a post a couple weeks ago saying this exact same thing- that the Lakers schedule was really easy for the 2nd half of November and early December.

Starting December 5th it starts to get a little more rugged for a while.

Let's play a game....of NO, Houston, SA, and Utah.....what 2 may miss the playoffs?

I'm going with Utah and Houston....think Utah over-achieve last season and Houston may be in need of a new HC.

What's your feelings on Schiano as D-Coordinator? IMO, he's the reason the Buckeyes aren't in the playoffs given Ohio State's porous defense. Also, I really hope the Phins draft Dwayne Haskins; he'd be my pick for the Heisman (even though it's going to Tua).

And yeah, Ohio State's going to annihilate UW.

Ok lol and it doesn't change anything that I'm saying.

Everyone agrees with me including several lakers fans It is pretty obvious what's going on.

But let's not come here and act like the Lakers are playing amazing basketball....they're not

I think it is possible all four miss the playoffs. None of those teams are playing well right now.

The Lakers in 5th place right now shows how lousy the WC really is. I mean good morning sports fans!

Utah schedule in the first half is rough. Playing 25 of 41 away from home. If they can make it to the 2nd half in striking distance, I think they make it due to a favorable home schedule in the 2nd half of the season

The 14th team in the west (Jazz) are closer to the #1 spot (5 games back) than they are to the #15 spot (6.5 games ahead of the Suns)

Me too....but I think the Spurs could get it together and slip in as the 7th-8th seed.

The question is, which current playoff team are they going to overcome? The Mavs? That's possible but they are playing well.

I mean, is there any team, other than the Warriors that would absolutely stun you if they didn't make the playoffs?

There are 14 teams within 5 games of each other. With the rough start that HOU and UTA had, I don't see any team I'd lock in 100% except the Warriors. Maybe the Nuggets.

Warriors will make it. Suns won't. The other 13 teams? who knows

Right now, the only team on pace to win 60 games this year are the Raptors. 5 teams are on pace to win fewer than 20.

Barring injuries, I would be surprised if the Thunder, Clippers, or Nuggets miss the playoffs. Not shocked but surprised.

Still just 22 games into the season....things will sort themselves out in the next 15-18 games IMO.
