If the season were to end today, there is no way that Steph should be MVP. He has missed half of the season.

I also think that Embiid is very much in the mix. 28 ppg and 13 rpg is pretty rare stuff
Agree.

But, he has 60 games or so left.

If they go on a run that coincides with his return, he goes back to the top of the list.

Maybe not #1, I think that's Giannis' to lose.

But, #2 or 3 is not farfetched.

Embiid is top 4 right now, easily....imo

Apparently he thinks that the Cavs will once again get someone to give away the farm in order to dump salary. So he is creating a scenario where the Clips or Knicks or Nets can sign to max free agents but they need to dump salary and the only team that will take offers for Galo or Hardaway or Crabbe are the Cavs and they will demand SGA or Knox or the Nets likely lottery pick next year. It's just silly.

Teams do dumb things. But even the Sactown and Clips trades need to be put into the context that neither team thought there was a chance that they would be lottery teams.
wait wait wait wait.....when did i say I "thought" it was going to happen.

The Cavs have positioned themselves better than any team out there, and have an owner that is willing to spend money even though they will still be losing this season and next season and probably even the season after.

Having Smith's contract, Hill's contract, and Burks contract puts the Cavs in prime position to take advantage if a team gets desperate and needs to clear cap room in order to make franchise-changing moves signings in this offseason where there a ton of free agents available including:

THE ELITE: Kyrie, Durant, Butler, Kawhi, Kemba, Middleton, Klay Thompson, Cousins (maybe)----

THE VERY GOOD TO GOOD Tobias Harris, Paul Milsap, IT, Terry Rozier (r), Spenceer Dinwiddie, Thad Young, Ricky Rubio, Pat Beverely, JJ Redick etc.

THE PLAYER OPTIONS: Horford, DeAndre Jordan, Marc Gasol, Goran Dragic, Harrison Barnes, Julius Randle, Jonas Valunciunas.

I will GUARANTEE you the Cavs get AT LEAST a first rounder or two---- and if the right team needs to move money they may just get a very significant asset- like many teams have been able to do in the past.

After what happened on Twitter, I wouldn't blame him if he retires. He's still a HOF player, IMO. The Wizards aren't in contention, so there's no reason for him to even set foot on the court for them this year. I'd be really surprised if he didn't just call it a day.

His 10 kids say hi.....his post playing career ain't paying what he made as a player.

lol .....you DEF had some "ridiculous over the top statements" about Kyrie Irving pre-Cavs championship. That is for damn sure.

Nope.

I just posted my opinion on Kyrie as a player. You way overvalued him, I undervalued him some. The reality was somewhere in between.

And by ridiculous, over the top comments, I have never said anything like this:

"I will fly to Mars if JaVale McGee averages 8 points a game".

Me saying that Kyrie's impact wasn't as significant as you thought it was doesn't compare to your BS.

there are bad trades in the NBA ALL THE TIME. Like Fultz for Tatum and a #1.....

That was not the trade though:

It was the 3rd pick and a future 1 likely to be a high lottery selection for the #1 overall.

The trade wasn't horrible. It is The 6ers pick that looks terrible, not the trade. If they had drafted Tatum we aren't having this conversation.

Dude.

He is on their team. Yes. It makes sense.

Is he? I've never seen him play for us.
You know who misses him more? The Pelicans. And the Kings. And the Kentucky Wildcats.
