Yeah, but IMO, they need a guy on their second unit who can create their own shot. I think that's what they need more than simply just another spot up 3 point shooter.

Could very well be.

Good trade.

The Korver for 1st round pick assumptions some where making in here were ludicrous. 2 mid to late seconds seems right and Korver will fit well in Utah.
Very.

He's a bit long in the tooth.....to get a 1st rounder in return.

So Korver is gone, Hill will be gone, JR will be gone at some point

The Cavs cap situation looks like this for next year:

Love: 29
TT: 18
Nance: 13
Osman: 3
Sexton: 5
Clarkson: 13

thats it.

I wonder if any team will have any interest in Clarkson. He has actually been playing really well and would fit nicely as a 6th man for a team that needs some scoring punch off the bench.

He is really good.

But, I think JJJ might end up being the best player in this draft.
It's possible, his defensive ability and shooting make him a good fit for the current NBA. Luka being so good already is frustrating to see, even though Bagley has been solid and can become great.

he is so good

this draft was unreal at the very top.

Bamba, Jackson Jr., Doncic, Ayton, all could be high level stars if you ask me.

Young, Bagley, Sexton, Bridges, Bridges, Carter Jr., SGA, should all be very good players.

This last draft was the deepst draft in the lotto that we have seen in ages.

Next years draft is supposed to be very shallow.

ID say last years draft was an 11-12 player draft with 5-6 truly elite guys....this years draft is probably like a 5-6 player draft- with 3 truly elite guys

though some years there are even less....the Simmons/Ingram 2016 draft is aging very poorly. Id say the only very good player in that draft thus far is Simmons- and he has taken a step back from what previously looked like a top 5 player ceiling.

if you re-drafted that draft what does it look like? Simmons still 1, what Jamal Murray 2? Jaylen Brown 3? Hield 4? Ingram 5? Dejounte Murray 6? LaVert 7? Sabonis 8?

Compare that to Doncic, JJJ, Ayton, Bamba, Trae Young, Bagley, Sexton, Carter Jr., Bridges, Bridges etc.....

even the 2017 draft is head and shoulders above 2016....

Say you go Mitchell, Tatum, Markenen, Fox, Isaac, DSJ, Kuzma......and a nice 2nd tier of Ball, OG, Hart, Collins, Bam, Monk

Sources: The picks the #Cavs are receiving along with Alec Burks from Utah are Utah’s 2020 second-rounder and Washington’s 2021 second-rounder that Utah owns.

lol

i was pretty pumped to learn one of those 2nd rounders was WAshingtons....prob. basically be a late first rounder one would think by that point.....

cleared off Korver's salary for next year and dealt him to a contender that he enjoyed playing for at one time in hsi career.

classy move by the Cavs, cleared space, and got 2 2nd rounders- and the Cavs had traded many of those away.

Sixers were never gonna give away Fultz for pennies on the dollar and a 37 year old Korver.
