how the fuck did the Sixers pick turn into "significant first rounds picks"

are you drunk or just delusional?

There you go again. Taking quotes out of context then calling people names because of your misinterpreted quote.

You single out @ChiefsLakers67 plural use of the term "significant first round picks". When his original comment referred to multiple players. And yeah, all first round picks have value. Some obviously a lot more than others, but all are too "significant" to be dealt for marginal players like Hood and Korver, which was his point.

How about for once, you get off your high horse and actually talk basketball instead of attempting to discredit people over semantical BS. Nobody gives a crap about how you choose to intentionally misterprate meaning of respectable opinions. It is literally why most on here can't stand you.

^ Spoken like a true alcoholic.

lol...

funny part is I've actually been drunk a total of 1 time in my life, and it was on a dare...

straight Vodka is a muthafucka, brothuh...

the simple fact that I was so out of it I couldn't stand(and actually had to CRAWL to the bathroom) pretty much sold me that doing that EVER again was a really horrific idea...

'sides, even if I WANTED to drink there's the fact that I really can't get past the taste of alcohol anyways...

You and I are birds of a feather.

I remember drinking hard for the first time... I was sitting at the bar. Having beers and shots... (I had never had shots before)

I recall thinking... "What's the big deal?.... this is nothing."

Then I tried to get down off the bar stool and I couldn't do it... :D

I never got much better at it and have long since given up trying... I don't miss it one bit.

I wouldnt give up much for him but getting a 1st for him and shedding salary would be enough. Maybe he could turn out to be a good bench player, havent seen much progress

It's entirely possible that no GM thinks that Fultz has any value. It is also entirely possible that several GMs see him as a guy who just needs the right environment. I have no idea.

Everyone thought that Oladipo was straight up bust after failing with 2 different teams. And yet he was the centerpiece in a trade to bring in Paul George.

Oladipo proved that he was a real NBA player though over the course of some seasons.

Fultz has had like 20 good games.

i agree with you that he still has some value, but what that value is? I dunno.....a mid first round pick is likely too much....a late first rounder would seem to be too little.

Itll be interesting to see what happens. The Sixers could just proceed as if nothing is wrong. They have 13 wins, are kicking ass. Being patient with him is not the worst option.

Fox is gonna be a great one.

Even if you ignore his loads of talent and athleticism- he is also a really good guy, a really hard worker, and wants to be a leader.

He is the type of guy that helps turn around franchises.

People shouldn't use it as a crutch.

But, that doesn't mean they should forget.

Listen, we are living in the age of over compensation.

We don't like the Republican President, so let's go to the opposite extreme and vote in his polar opposite next time.

Let's say in our children's, children's, children's lifetime, America elects a Muslim Extremist President.

I specifically said EXTREMIST because some folks don't realize there is a difference.

That Muslim President decides to make 911 a fucking Holiday to celebrate the beginning of them Conquering America.

You think the Ancestors of all those Fire Fighters who died in the World Trade Center should get down on their knees, wearing a hijab and praise Alah because their lifestyle might be a bit more comfortable than the generation before?

Because....nah.

It's hella easy to say get over it when it's not something that is personal to your demographic.

We are all Americans.

So, this particular scenario would be unacceptable universally.

I imagine that's how Indian People feel every turkey day.
do people really celebrate the genocide of Indians on Thanksgiving?

I dont think most people give the history b ehind it a second thought- its about family and friends and not celebrating the "first" thanksgiving.

I mean- the fourth of july or cindo de mayo--- those are specific dates celebrating certain events.

At Thanksgiving yesterday i gotta tell ya- indians and pilgrims didnt cross my mind once.

Let's say this is true, you do realize he only played 33 games in his career right? So 20 good games out of 33 is pretty good
he did look really good for some ofthose games

thats why i said i think a late 1st rounder wouldnt be enough for him- but i doubt any team would give up a late lotto or mid first rounder for him either.

its gonna be tough for the Sixers to decide what to do- if i were them id just be patient and let this thing play out at least for the year- unless they get blown away by some offer.

I was in the Navy.

It was Damn near mandatory to drink heavily.

But, it's probably been about 10 years since I've had a drink heavier than Malibu Rum with pineapple juice.

I have a extremely high tolerance for alcohol.

But, sadly......I can never excel at drug use.

* said in jest for all you literal folks *

I am deathly allergic to opiates.

No vicoddin, Percocet, codeine, Oxy....

So, imagine how much fun I had when the dentist removed 3 of my impacted wisdom teeth at one time....lol

in college i could drink like a fish

i would get full on beer before i could evne get drunk...lol.....

In college, drinking all the time, is just so much different than having a couple drinks now and then. In college you have that tolerance, you are partying all the time etc.....

Once that ended, i lived with a couple of my buddies for a while and we had some good times.

but now, a little later on in life, i rarely drink....just rough on my stomach, and 3 drinks gets me feeling it big time.

I remember in college splitting a case between 3 of us just to pregame. lol.....ughhh....your body burns off liquor a LOT faster at 19-22 years old too.

I don't.

I don't think anyone outside of that Community even gives it a second thought.

That wasn't the point I took umbrage with.

To say people should just shut up about major atrocities in history because that demographic is better off today because it happened, is vile and disgusting.

The victims of 9/11 got like a 38 BILLION dollar settlement.

You think those children who were born after that event feel like living a comfortable life was a great trade-off for having a building fall on their loved ones?

Because according to @thunderc , since they were not alive when it happened and they profited, they should stop bitching.

Obviously, that wasn't the example that he used.

But, 9/11, slavery, the holocaust, mass school shootings etc. are all events that have no silver lining.

To suggest otherwise is truly sickening.

Yeah, I had a good run in my yesteryear.

I was waaaaay worse in the military than in College.

Now that I have teens, I have to be sober at all times because these two numbskull's of mine are always trying to pull a fast one.
