No way.

You are forgetting some of the facts.

First, Cleveland lost game 1 with Kyrie.

Second, they were a hot mess with very little leadership from the coaching staff.

GS was better in 2016 when they were full strength. They weren't anything resembling that when Cleveland actually played them in the Finals. Also, Cleveland was a lot better in 2016 than a fully healthy Cleveland was in 2015.
I mean, I agree with all that. Both teams were much better in 2016.

Personally, I think the cavs win in 2015 if Kyrie doesn't get hurt.

I'm not saying it's fact or a foregone conclusion, just how I feel.

And for the record, they lost game 1 in overtime, on the road, *after* Kyrie went down. Then they went on to win the next 2 games.

But we'll never know. Warriors won and you can't take that away from them

I think we all knew which guy would be the better scorer.

So, Lakers passed on Fox with eyes wide open.

The bigger issue is that they expected Ball to be Kidd.

But, a Mashburn, Jim Jackson type was nowhere to be seen on the Lakers roster.

Lonzo's lack of aggression, confidence is just the cherry on the sundae.

Too soon to call him a bust but I think most fans would take deangelo Russell back

SPURS 7-1 versus the West
SPURS 0-3 versus the East

Sure, why not? Makes total sense...

This season will be the hardest to watch in 20 years for Spurs fans.

Can't tell if Lakers finally cranked up the defense or if kings are having an off night in the b2b.

Probably some of both.

I still don't think he's a bust.

Only people who think that are the one's that believed the bullshit Magic and Lavar was spewing.

I have to say, Russell would fit better with Lebron.

Major reason, he's a scorer, and really nothing else.

All the things that Ball does really well, Lebron does better.

So, it's not an ideal pairing...imo.

This is what drove me nuts during that draft, the Lakers locking in on Lonzo and all the hype he was getting from so many media types. That draft was loaded. At BEST, I thought Lonzo was no better than the other top PG prospects. And outside of PGs, I was all about Jayson Tatum even back when he had slipped past #5 in most mocks and became an afterthought. I never saw this can't miss CP3 like star he was sold as .I always thought there was a hell of a greater chance he'd just be a Rondo which is ironic since they are teammates now. That's fine, but I don't want another Rondo with the #2 pick in the draft. But it was fairly clear Magic fully bought into the hype of Lonzo being some transformational PG that was leaps better than the other guys to the point where I don't think they ever really seriously considered taking anyone else.

Melo is not the problem in Houston.

He isn't the solution either, but he isn't the problem.

Losing Ariza, and to a lesser extent Luc Richard has really hurt. That and the fact that harden and CP3 simply have not been playing at the level they were last year.

It is embarrassing how much better Fox is than Ball.

We saw that in the NCAA tournament too. Should not be a surprise to anybody.

I will go out a limb and say Ball never reaches his potential as LeBron's sidekick in LA. He can help the Lakers for sure, but a trade would suit him. And maybe the Lakers too.

can we just get rid of Zubac...?

I'll take a ball of rubber bands and a half eaten Snickers bar for him...

I think you are way overestimating Zubac's trade value.

Seriously though, how long before players like Zubac stop being drafted? Lumbering 7 footers just don't have much of a place in today's game. Used to be you draft the 7 footer as an investment. But now? I would much rather invest in the agile but raw 6'9 guy who might have been viewed as a tweener in years past.
