The need some one with cache who can command LBJ's respect.

But I am not sure there is a coach available who can do that on day 1. Howard has a chance to earn it though.

Or they need one who doesn't care if he has Lebron's respect, but can get everyone else to buy in.

Regardless, they are competitive most nights, have essentially been playing playoff type games for a few weeks already, and in a year will have cap space again.

And, overall it has worked. When James/Bosh came, we lost assets.

Signing or not signing Whiteside or the others didn't matter.

Warriors took the stage for now.

The Cavs are competitive too, at least the last couple months, they had a ton of injuries early and Love was out. So yeah they have been competitive and then late in the 4th teams pull away.

I agree...but do think DJ's point had merit. They could make it all OK this summer. Just not gonna be as easy as some thought it might be.

Playing a competitive game isn't the same as meaningful. Nothing matters but the playoffs and it looks the Heat could be playing as many truly meaningful games than the Cavs LOL but if you do play "meaningful" games you will be getting swept by the Bucks. Again, Congrats on this great feat
