Klay is a good defender I'm sure.....but this is funny. Guys miss shots against him and it's great D. If they make shots it's "good D but they just made shots."

Wow.

I mean.

Any time you post a player's shooting percentage over a 3 game sample (or smaller) it is probably meaningless. I didn't post those stats.

But the fact that Klay always guards the best player and most shoot under their regular percentages over time (not just 3 game samples) is an indicator that he is in fact an elite defender.

So, you love looking like a humongous douche bag and shitting all over the thread?

Good to know.

Look at the common denominator in all these little hair pulling contests you engage in daily.

Hint: It's you.

I will be honest,

I am not good at letting things go either.

But only when I am right! ;)

couldn't recall who it was but knew the 3 game sample size on Harden did not come from you.

while many seem like they want to throw me under the bus for this, the vast majority here share this trait.

what's funny is I am almost always under control and never get into the namecalling some here like simply because they disagree with an opinion (and, yes, most of what we say here are opinions).

like on Game of Thrones when Joffrey says "I AM THE KING"- and Tywin says "No true King ever has to say I AM THE KING"- when you have crazies like tlance saying I AM RIGHT AND KNOW I AM RIGHT- rather than letting their words speak for themslves, you know they are pretty much full of shit.

Like Hue Jackson- I AM THE HEAD COACH---- repeating it over and over on Hard Knocks and in Press Conferences.....you pretty much know he is just weak and insecure and feels the need, nay the complusion, to say it.

tlance isn't crazy by any stretch.

And you are just as guilty of trying to spike the football before the handoff as anyone else here.

Based on what I've seen from Lonzo in the first 2 years and what I've seen from D-Lo since leaving Brooklyn, give me D-Lo.

I don't even think twice

Yep.

I will admit I was wrong on Dlo.

He has turned into a really good player.

Well, let's see....Lebron was here when Gilbert got there so hard to say what he did without him.

And we have already gone over the 4 years after he left and how they were run successfully enough to get him back.

Maybe when Lebron told Gilbert he was coming back, Gilbert should have said, "Ya know what? That sounds great but I'm worried there might be some irrational fans in a sports forum in a half decade so I'd rather see what we can do without you.......but best of luck in all your endeavors."

Like I said, moving the goal posts, regardless if you don't agree.

And here's a tip: when using hashtags the standards are to capitalize the first letter of each word...so you know, folks can actually understand your hashtag. lol

I actually used to stick up for Hue some until that. Stick up meaning I was curious what he would do with a real QB. But after seeing that I lost faith.

I am never a hashtag guy other than to make fun of someone who used a hashtag because they needed to deflect and not stay on topic

But keep going with those goalposts moving instead of just manning (womaning?) up and admitting you cannot refute what was said.

Now tell me I keep going back and forth in a discussion while you go back and forth in a discussion.

This is fair, but most mocks I saw also had TT going ahead of Drummond. Hindsight? sure, Drummond.

Um....

Drummond wasn't in the same draft class. You took Waiters over Drummond.

The problem with you is (which most here have explained to you multiple times) is that you change the topic of discussion to fit your argument.

No one is saying they didn't make it to 5 Finals and of course we all know they have won a title. Those indeed are facts.
But those facts don't apply if the discussion is what have the Cavs done WITHOUT LBJ.

said almost never name call. And, yes, that's true. Not my style.

But the poster so many seem to be going to bat for as some sort of victim has no problem calling people she doesn't know retarded because they don't agree with her. Probably because they like to do the same.

Yeah....ya gotta love this forum.

And you just don't seem to understand the answer, which has been posted a number of times (ask if you need help)......they tanked, accrued assets and put together a team he would be willing to come back and join.

should Gilbert have told Lebron, "no thanks.....we'd love to have you back and know we put a great team together for you to join, but we'd prefer to see what we can do without you?"

BTW, the topic never changed....it was always me providing this explanation for what he's done without Lebron. Now we'll see what he can do with Lebron completely out of the picture.

You're welcome

Dunleavy was mainly a shooter, he did have a peak where he was very good player but it didn't last long maybe two to three years. A starter for most of his career. I see a lot more athleticism from Osman than I ever saw with Dunleavy but this is essentially is rookie year. I don't expect him to being an all-star or all nba team. He could be a very good shooter, a starter and 4th or 5th really good option for a playoff team but he is a guy that can beat you off the dribble and hit the mid-range and drive, more so than Dunleavy. Dunleavy didn't have much of that. Once he bulks up some I think he can be a very good defender as well, I have seen flashes of his defense and he is a versatile defender as well that comes with the athleticism though imo he just needs time/more playing time.

My comparison would be: Hedo Turkoglu

I think Dunleavy was a good ball handler and passer. At least that's what I remember of him. He was underwhelming during some games and tended to disappear a lot though. That's kind of why I linked him to Cedi in that they both have similar body types. Hedo had more bulk to work with.

couldn't recall who it was but knew the 3 game sample size on Harden did not come from you.

It was from me. It wasn't just a 3 game sample size from Harden but a 3 game sample size from Russ and a couple games from Spida Mitchell. That's an 8 game span of guarding elite scoring players who he was a primary defender on him.

3 game sample size on one player doesn't mean anything. 8 game sample size is not great either, but a better indicator of consistently good defense across multiple players.

Because of size I can see thinking Dunleavy is the better comparison. But as far as ceiling, I think Turk is closer.
