Super horrible news earlier today.

Devastated when I found out somebody close to our family was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.....broke down and cried since he was like another uncle to me and it was the same form of cancer that took my mom almost 2 years ago.....

He was with my dad when my dad met my mom when they were both in the Air Force and spoke at my mom's celebration of life and it was probably lurking inside him then.....makes me sad and makes me so mad we haven't found a cure yet.

Bontemps tweet said it came straight from Davis himself. That is proof unless you are actually suggesting a national reporter would totally make that up.

Davis changed his story at the all star break because his attempt to force his way to LA blew up and he was trying to save some face.

If you are asking me to say which of these 2 things is more likely:

1) Bontemps completely making up the story
2) Davis changing his statement weeks later after a lot of bad press

I am going all in on #2

It's also a reinterpretation of the situation. AD is now intent on free agency in 2020, so he just wants out of New Orleans for the '19/'20 season. He's not guaranteeing he'll re-sign for the other 29 teams, but he'll accept playing wherever traded for one season at least.
