I don't disagree with this, but I have to say I never saw Davis say anything until well after the reporters told us what he said through unnamed sources......not from Davis mouth (or tweet).

Didn't AD's agent go public w/ the trade demand first?:noidea:

You never saw him say anything.

Bontemps tweet said it came straight from Davis himself. That is proof unless you are actually suggesting a national reporter would totally make that up.

Davis changed his story at the all star break because his attempt to force his way to LA blew up and he was trying to save some face.

If you are asking me to say which of these 2 things is more likely:

1) Bontemps completely making up the story
2) Davis changing his statement weeks later after a lot of bad press

I am going all in on #2

Yep....then seemed like next were reporters telling us his list through unnamed sources. No?

When was the last time a reporter gave away his sources? That's just how things work. Reporters get some info on the understanding the source won't be leaked to the public. This is not the 1st time something like this has happened or the last time. But you seem to have some kinda issue w/ the whole situation.

I'd go with 2, as well.

If by "you" you mean me, no, I don't have an issue. I actually get a laugh out of most of it. Especially when fans hear trade or draft rumors from reporters (using unnamed sources) and the fans go apeshit and rip their team over rumors that never take place.

Or something like this.....

Bleacher Report - "Kyrie, would you consider playing with Lebron in LA?"
Kyrie - "I want to win with my current team and will make my decision in the summer....but I haven't ruled out anything."
BR - "Kyrie would consider playing in LA with Lebron"

So in other words you still don't understand how an unnamed source for a reporter actaully works.

You're going on & on & on & on about "unnamed sources" & in your response you mention BR.:pound:That has nothing to do w/ said source.

I don't wanna offend you but do you get your drinking water unfiltered directly outta Lake Erie? Because an unnamed source should be self explanatory.

Of course I get what an unnamed source is.

Now let's try this.....do you believe teams really want the public to know what is actually going on with their draft plans or trades? That they would want the players involved to know?

If no (and that's the answer), could it be these unnamed sources only allow the reporter to tell the public what they would not want them to know?

I don't doubt there are things these guys learn that they cannot share. Maybe they even do know about the actual trades that take place the public never knew about, but couldn't say anything.

To answer your 1st question. Yes. It would make for a friendlier league all around & fans would know which jerseys to buy. Your 2nd question. The players involved should be told in advance so they can make the proper moving arrangements. It's a pain in the ass to move @ the last minute.

while I did get a chuckle from the creative reply, we both know the real answers.

Shit I was being serious.:heh:
As someone who hates moving, I could understand.

I don't know if you live in the area, but if you do you know what I mean. Browns fans went ballistic when an insider said he heard from "Friend of Dorsey" that Dorsey was taking Josh Allen #1.

The angst could not have been more comical.

I got out, moved to Phoenix to finish HS, went to OSU, then moved back to Cleveland and been here since 1993

OK...maybe not out of line to wonder if I'm drinking straight Lake Erie water.

South Arligton st has tons of prostitutes...

So you shop there often?:heh:

Funny story. There was a drive thru @ the corner of Arlington & Archwood called the LA Cruz Thru (the LA stood for Lower Akron). If you asked for a tv guide you'd a pack of rolling papers instead.

I live in Hudson and Palm Beach (winter), but i still know the go to spots when you need a hooker lol

I get flooded by girls when ever i drive down there, it is super sketchy lol

Not bad looking girls either. In Florida, they have a limited supply of white girls.
