Funny thing is, Demps never really negotiated with anyone before the deadline. A few brief phone calls with the Lakers and offers they didn't respond to and some talks with Ainge.
Demps was obviously not in control of those negotiations.
I mean- if anyone thinks that those type of decisions are made on anything but the ownership level they are kidding themselves.
you were the numbskull that kept posting that Demps saved his job by not trading DAvid and would have gotten fired if he traded him. LOL
want me to go back and find the posts?
Negotiations? What negotiations? That string-along job from the Pelicans counts as negotiations now?

I absolutely think hes getting fired because they do not trust him to negotiate a deal this summer. What are you implying that's really any different? You're saying he's getting fired because they don't trust him to negotiate the deal this summer.
maybe, but doesn't hurt to wait and see what those teams offer. Not like Laker offer should go away.

I think it is called trolling actually
absolutely - the guy was a moron and i cant believe he had the job for as long as he did.So, if he had agreed to a Lakers trade, he would've been fired, correct? Or trumped, then fired?

i mean i think engaging in trade negotiations when the owner tells you not to is a fireable offense dont you? lol
Not surprising
They could, but my guess is they see where they are with Davis...it's Anthony Davis. You never know. There are multiple big free agents available this summer, however unlikely they may seem. Lakers could make a trade for a different player instead...
Any team besides the Lakers trading for PG two years ago was supposed to be a rental, and that seemed to work out for the Thunder.Great in theory, until AD's camp doubles down on those destinations, leaving all others with cut-rate offers for rentals.
lol for 2 weeks? So, DJ wasn't wrong either. Not agreeing to trade AD saved his job, if only temporarily.
AD has become unlikable with Rich Paul having control over him. I don't care if you would rather be on another team, you took a lot of money from the Pelicans to be with them through 2020 there's no excuse for bailing on your team during a game. Funny that they were able to beat one of the better teams in the league with him gone. Not surprising

yah- but i think that Davis basically faking this injury is good for them- it makes Davis and Paul look like dbags, and it gives the Pelicans an excuse not to play him because he is "injured".If I'm the Pelicans, I just say fuck it and pay whatever fine. No way will AD play another game for me.
First that effort for him vs Orlando and now leaving the arena early last night?
