No doubt about that....I've heard at some point in each of the last 4 seasons the cavs would not get to the Finals. I don't see LA in the Finals, but they'll make the playoffs and scare anyone other than GS,

Oh, we had quite a few people on this site say the Cavs were dead in the water last year and WOULD NOT make the Finals.

The Cavs fans, myself and @bksballer89 were not amongst them.

But, there were several Lakers fans....lol

Now some of those same folks should understand why y'all had such blind faith.

LeBron is really THAT GOOD.

The Freak needs help in selecting AS players. He took Middleton.

James took AD.
Right....I get wanting your own guy, but no way Lebron was taking Middleton until maybe his last pick.

He took a team that had no business being there all the way to the Promised Land but they ran into a buzzsaw.

I know I kept the faith, but on the other forum I frequent, there was a lot of angst among Cavs' fans.

Not many seem to understand this. LOL.
Do you? They never used the cap space on a star that they saved it for. Randle would be the 2nd best player on their team and could have been moved to get that AD guy sooner rather than later perhaps?

You know, Dj....

You are making progress.

A month ago, you would never have admitted you were wrong without me having to beat you over the head with old posts.

Well done.

i think thats more difficult to understand than the CAvs are saving money by trading for long term contracts like you claimed! LOL

DJ- still cant believe you said that the Cavs trades they were making were saving them money- holy shit man......I mean- i have known you on here a long time but that one has to take the cake brah.
I've known him here a short time and would be shocked if you get a mea culpa for the gaffe.

Yeah let's just ignore the fact Lebron moved from a pathetically weak Eastern conference to the West

Lets ignore the fact that for the first time since 2010 Lebron is playing not without one but TWO other all-stars on the team.

Lets ignore the fact he's just turned 34 years old and came back from the worst injury of his career.

But yeah have a good laugh they're a WHOPPING 1.5 games out of a playoff spot. Which btw with the record they have would be #7 in the East.

Funny enough, the Lakers won more games WITHOUT lebron in the lineup in 18 games than the cavs did without him in four years. Let's laugh at that too.

I look forward to your lawyer-esque comeback but I know just like the fact you keep ignoring your claim a few months ago cost you a testicle, you'll crawl in a deep hole.

BOOM. Especially #5.

Yeah, not here.

The term " Flip the switch " was thrown around all Willy nilly when discussing Lebron's ability to play defense, and completely take over a game on offense, whenever he felt like it.

...and it was all true until they got snuffed out by the Warriors.

As great as he is, that was asking to much of even him.

Here's the thing that people also need to remember:

It's virtually impossible to make that kind of 5 for 2 trade during the Season.

It's completely impossible to do it on one week notice.

How the hell was NOLA going to open up those 3 extra roster spots?

That alone should have tipped the Lakers that they were being trolled.

As for what they would do in the playoffs....

I don't think they'd get out of the 2nd round.

But, that's where I have them tapping out, with or without, Davis.

That's a very good point about roster spots

Any given Thursday night in the NBA... a team can go out there and shoot 50% from 3.
If the Cavs lost a game last year like that we'd hear how bad their D is and Lue, of course, would be blamed.

For this game, it seems LA is instead being given credit for their shooting and grit.....as it should be.

And that is why he was a smart signing by the FO.....the Circus Crew took a beating when we signed them but that was veteran move.
always thought he was a solid signing......especially if he stayed healthy. Lance and McGee? Not so sure.

You aren't wrong about this.

Every loss is a funeral.

Every win is fucking Mardi Gras.

Then and now....

He really is that good but this Lakers team is just different. As much as I love Kuzma and the Rondo and McGee pickups they are still a below average 3 pt shooting team. They can have those games likes last night but it's rare. Now they did pickup two 3 point shooters before the deadline just not sold those guys will even really be part of the rotation much especially playoff time.
