Kyrie Hater
They should've approached it that way from the beginning imo. I mean even if they add AD can Lebron, AD and the spare parts beat the Warriors? Highly highly doubtful.
Getting AD this year was never about this year.

Nah, they were bidding against the clock... knowing that after the trade deadline their chances dwindled.I agree to an extent but they were basically bidding against themselves here

No doubt... AD is a grown man, though. Now thinking about it, I blame Rich Paul for the AD mess
No doubt... AD is a grown man, though.
And Paul has impossible to ignore connections with LeBron.
I agree it wasn't a great move... but if a move was gonna be made, it had to be before the deadline... that was the best chance of manipulating AD to the Lakers.I get that but Paul had to know it was unlikely, a trade with get done with the deadline just 10 days away.
I would have waited until after the deadline to make that statement.
wiggins and Bennett BOTH went to Twolves in the deal.Wiggins, not Bennett. But yeah Randle would have been another enticing piece.
Right....cap space to sign a 2nd star over the summer. They got neither the star nor Randle.Cap space was more valuable to the Lakers than Randle was.
They very well might strike out in free agency, but it was the right move. Randle doesn't move the needle any more than any of the current young Lakers.
I came back on last night just to say he, Rondo, KCP and Kuz went all big balls last night. Are we just going to not talk about how LeBron James just went ape crazy bananas supernova , in Boston (for the Lake Show), one game after his worst ever loss? AT least he didn't fold like a cheap suit.
I agree....while I think a Finals' run is doubtful, if they make that deal even with AD I think this season is sacrificed. I believe as is they make the playoffs and have a chance against anyone other than GS.This 100%.
I mean if you think about all the moves the Lakers made this past off-season, they signed a bunch of free agents of questionable fit, but what's the one thing they all had in common? All of them took 1 year deals. That means the Lakers from the get go had an idea that next season was going to be their time to shine in off-season. It gave them financial flexibility and it would allow their younger guys to grow into their roles and see what can be done with this roster and Lebron.
Lebron additionally signed a 4 year deal. There's virtually no chance that Magic/Pelinka and Lebron did not have a conversation previous to this about the future direction of the team.
Yep...always figured if he cared about being in LA, not much anyone could do to stop it. If winning was most important (especially short term), he'd stay or go to Philly.Quite simply LeBron chose the wrong franchise if his concern was winning a title this year.
Damn, y'all that salty that you can't just say " Great win " and move on?I mean thats all you really need to know
could you imagine tagging someone for a big HAHAH moment for a regular season win in February when LeBron was in Cleveland? Humiliating.
No doubt about that....I've heard at some point in each of the last 4 seasons the cavs would not get to the Finals. I don't see LA in the Finals, but they'll make the playoffs and scare anyone other than GS,I came back on last night just to say he, Rondo, KCP and Kuz went all big balls last night.
Holy Shit..that was impressive.
That's why...
For all his theatrics, you sign LeBron every chance you get.
Damn, y'all that salty that you can't just say " Great win " and move on?
I remember quite a few people crowing about " statement wins " during the regular season, over the years, and they didn't get this kinda vitriol for it.
I'm not saying it was you, or even the Cavs fandom.
But, we've all seen it.
After all the Shit this Team has had to shovel their way out of, let them have their moment.
Seems like if he cared at all about this season a 1+1 was his best option. Then he shouldn't have panicked this season and let the team grow and go from there. Decide who he wants to keep or not. In a much more professional fashion
Here's the thing that people also need to remember:They should've approached it that way from the beginning imo. I mean even if they add AD can Lebron, AD and the spare parts beat the Warriors? Highly highly doubtful.
That was hilarious....might have been Giannis but also funny when someone said in a possible AD to the other team something like "just trade all your reserves"Damn near got the starters right except Bron went for Harden instead of Kemba.
I also got the first two reserve picks correct for both squads. Got a couple more correct two. Bron's in full recruitment mode.
