Or is he extremely lucky? (That 0.162 BABIP is clearly unsustainable... if I were Duquette, I'd be tempted to sell high on Miley in July once Tillman returns and more help arrives from Norfolk.)

3 things here that plagued the Os last year in this game. First how do you score runs if you don't hit the ball?
second last year Gausman got hammered by the homerun ball and will continue to do so this year.
Last but not least Buck hasn't learned to yank the pitcher who gives up 2 HRs only to leave him in there for the opposing team to hit number 3. Somebody explain the repeated stupidity.

Speaking of Gausman... surely I am not the only one who's at least somewhat concerned? Consider the following:

• Gausman's career stats for March / April: 40.2 IP, 5.31 ERA, 1.57 WHIP
• For May: 50.2 IP, 5.86 ERA, 1.38 WHIP
• April 2017 so far: 24.0 IP, 7.50 ERA, 2.04 WHIP

(In other words: It seems as if the 2016 version of Miley and the 2014-16 version of Gausman had swapped identities!)

Buck has had the tendency to trust his guys a lot more than he should on occasion. I just think he's extremely stubborn and will force something to work, no matter how many times it's failed in the past. His thinking also possibly cost us the WC game last year by putting in Ubaldo instead of putting in Britton because he said something to the effect of wanting to save him for a save situation. Buck has forgotten more baseball knowledge than I'll likely ever know but the guy sometimes completely baffles me with decisions he makes.

all pitchers are going to get hit around remember tilly and bundy ? in 162 games you have to save bp for the nrxt day we can't win them all

While Ubaldo turned in a not so great performance, at least the bullpen held the lead so we could come back and win. It was far from pretty but I'll take it.

waldo is more of a walk guy then hit guy his stuff is nasty hard to hit the bb s kill him .
