Any chance we have the cap to sign to what we signed Ware back when we did? 3 year 30 million, or is that too much to spend?

and 21 million is not a lot to be honest.
Not in today's NFL. Now the Broncos can do some Cap gymnastics if they want a bit. They can stagger when the big cap hits happen for some of these players. Such as say we get Campbell, Wagner, and Lang. Have Campbell be closer to $7 million the first year for a cap hit while Wagner and Lang have a decent first year hit. Then Campbell's 2nd or 3rd year could be the bigger hit when we have more space available.
This could also be where Okung comes into play. Not sure what the plan is there.
Is he even signed? I thought last year he signed a 1 year deal and then it was up to the team if they wanted to pick up his multiple year options. Can't they decline him and let him become a FA?
another hole on a terrible market...Yes that is why I said the whole Okung situation comes into play. My above break down was with Okung being on the roster. So if he leaves that opens up a huge chunk of cap space. At the same time also means we have another hole we have to fix on this team.
another hole on a terrible market...
your choices for LT? 36 year old andrew whitworth or underwhelming riley reiff
DT I think has a contract that could be adjusted and who knows the status of TJ Ward. There is $5MM right there.
Virgil Green could save $2.8MM
Which is why I honestly think it is in the Bronco's best interest to get something worked out with Okung. I don't think you can bring him back at the deal he signed for the next 4-years but something like 3-years/$24 million makes a lot of sense for both parties.
I will be sad when Kayvon suits up for another team. He is a ST beast
