the NBA Draft Lottery is coming up in less than 2 weeks----- May 16th...fast approaching.

a HUGE night for franchises like the Celtics, Suns, Lakers, Sixers just to name a few.....that will be a DAMN interesting night.

-See if the #1 seed Celtics can add the TOP player in the draft
-See if the Suns can stick at #2 and add either Ball or Fultz
-See if the Lakers get lucky and their 47% chance of keeping their pick comes through
-See if the Sixers get lucky and get TWO top 5-6 picks in a loaded draft if they get the Lakers pick

Should be an interesting night that will go a long way in determining the future of these franchises.

Looks like at the VERY TOP of the draft- there are 3 players- Fultz, Ball, Jackson- that hasnt changed in a while and does not appear likely that it will change. Should be really freaking interesting.


If you are the Sixers and get the Lakers pick- say its #4 and your pick is #6....what two guys do you add?--- Id go with Monk and Smith (assuming Fultz, Ball and Jackson all go 1, 2 and 3).

The Miami Heat with the last slot in the lotto do have a 2.1% chance at having a top 3 pick and a 0.5% chance to get the top pick...

And they shoot at a almost perfect rate while scoring a ton of points. You dont see that often obviously. I think the least amount of shots MJ took was 18 and he scored like barely 30 or less. Lebron is a very high volume shooter so it was a matter of time

True. I mean, it's a cool stat -- I just don't know if it has much value. We already knew that guys like LeBron and Dirk and Kawhi are really, really good.

Shaq would have done this probably 5-10, maybe more, times if he could have actually hit free throws. He shot 20+ free throw attempts 11 times in the playoffs. But we already knew that Shaq would have been completely unstoppable if he could hit free throws (alternatively, he probably would have never shot that many attempts if he could hit free throws since people wouldn't have been intentionally fouling him as much.)

I guess it's a bit more impressive with LeBron, Dirk, Kawhi because people know they can hit FTs but they're so good that they were able to draw fouls anyway and get to the line.
