These things don't happen overnight

This all started because Barkley bashed Silver for trying to do something about the rest issue. Many on here agreed with Barkley.

Stretching the season a couple extra weeks and asking teams to rest their guys at home won't solve everything, but it will help. Home fans understand the trade off. There is no downside to these moves.

No there isn't. Except the fact that old-school guys like Barkley now have to right to criticize the young guys for being soft.

For me, while I don't think these guys need anymore rest, I do agree that if they are going to rest their guys anyway, they need to do it during home games.

If, for example, Lebron were my sons favorite player (and assuming I didn't kick him out of the house over it) and I spent the time and money to take him to see Lebron play the Lakers or Clips, only to find out Lebron's not playing because he's tired...I'd be pissed.

I agree with that. I think away teams will need a legitimate reason for not playing their star players.

I get that and agree with it. You only have 2 chances (if you count the Clipper game) to see LeBron in LA. Well, this year anyway.

I just think it was kind of ironic that Shaqdaddy would say that to me about bringing Hillary into the conversation, and yet not say anything when Trojanfan 12 mentioned Hillary well before I did in post # 11230?
