It is about what is best for the team. Until EVERY team agrees not to rest players, it is an unfair advantage for teams that do.

If I remember correctly from when I was a chef, it's because of what is considered room temperature in Europe vs. the U.S.

Room temperature in Europe is several degrees cooler than in the U.S.

I don't know about MJ, but I know for a fact that Phil tried to get Kobe to rest and Kobe wasn't having it.

Wow....well, I suppose there's something to it considering they aren't in the fridge in the chicken coup and I have had some super yummy fresh gathered eggs when I stayed on a farm.

It has something to do with washing. They wash the eggs here in the US and takes a small layer off the shell so you need to refrigerate them. The the UK that layer isn't washed so its fine to keep them in room temperature.

Yes. But I got spoiled in my first chef job and won't cook for a living again unless it's a place like that one or one that I own (which would be very much like that one).

Ah, that makes sense. I know the room temperature thing is true as far as being cooler and that it has something to do with why they also don't refrigerate wine, beer, etc.

Assumed it was the same for eggs.
