FWIW? For what it's worth?
Interesting.I'll help you out DJ..
The story is coming from a Boston beat writer who works for CBS. No idea on his credibility. He's obviously no woj... but he's not a nobody either.
Interesting.
I'll say it: Boston + Hayward + PG > Cleveland
That wasn't one I saw.....somebdy musta been piggy backing off this.
Interesting.
I'll say it: Boston + Hayward + PG > Cleveland
And toe to toe with Golden State, who Boston has always played tough against and match up well with.
Not sure why Boston would even be interested in PG after drafting Tatum and Heyward damn near a lock to sign with Boston.
Indiana has lost some leverage...Depends on who they give up to get George.
Interesting.

No doubt Boston has to give some guys / assets up...Nope. I'd still take Cleveland Golden State over Boston. To fit PG and Heyward into Boston's salary cap, you're going to have to send off some assets. You're not fitting them all in while maintaining the team as is.

But stop a minute. A core of IT, PG, Hayward and Horford is sick-@ss filthy on offense.
The remains of Bradley / Smart / Crowder / Brown will make them a tough perimeter defensive team as well.
Rebounding remains the big issue.
- I think I made it clear that the secondary group would take losses in order to acquire PGYou're probably not keeping the core together, especially of your secondary group.
Horford was non-existent for a vast majority of the playoffs. Of the all star group, PG's the only one that's truly elite as a 2-way player. IT lacks any kind of defense. Heyward's average on D, but a good offensive player.
Yes, in theory your team will be good offensively, but have you seen the Warriors on offense AND defense?
You're not thinking rationally because it's your team. That team together, may make you better than Cleveland, but not Golden State.
For the 18-19 season, given the cap holds of Bradley and Thomas, I don't see how PG and Heyward are fit in too be honest, along with their core.

- Let's say 2 of 4 of that secondary group remain... they'll still combine with PG to form a good core of perimeter defenders.
- Horford had a solid playoffs. No idea where you are coming from with that "non-existent for the vast majority" bullsnot
- Boston has played GS tough the past couple of years. I know... that's just the regular season, I recognize that. But if you watch those games like I did... you come away with the impression that Boston matches up well against the Warriors.
...or vice versa, which would put this one in question

Last couple of years? Where are you coming up with that bullsnot?
You do realize that KD's only been on the Warriors for a year, don't you? Cleveland matched up well with Golden St. too, then they met in the playoffs. Regular season means dick, and I've seen the games between the Warriors and Celtics.
Again, you're not thinking objectively, because it's your team. That core puts you in line with Cleveland, and gives them a challenge, but I still don't see Boston taking down Golden St.
