Yea... I concede his rebounding, while not awful like Olynyk, is disappointing.I just can't believe he's not a better rebounder than that.

From what I understand, LeBron won't be saying much on the E-mail issue, it'll be handled mostly by Rich Paul.
Dan Gilbert sent a racist E-mail to his buddies and accidentally sent it to Maverick Carter, I told everyone this 3 days ago. What's the e-mail issue? Hillary's e-mails?
Those are good numbers, man. Even if you think they're not: Like many folks... you look for gaudy stats and fail to appreciate what Horford brings to the table... he's a great cog in a modern offense and a team leader.
"If You Judge a Fish by Its Ability to Climb a Tree, It Will Live Its Whole Life Believing that It is Stupid."When you're making over $20 mil, team leader bullshit goes out the window. Udonis Haslem's a team leader for the Heat and brings leadership; Miami's not paying him a max contract. Lebron's a team leader for the Cavs, he makes the max, but his stats and overall impact backup his salary.
Horford, when IT went out moved to the number 1 offensive option on the Celtics. He scored 16,16,8 in games 3-5. That's horrible. As I've mentioned, he's not even a great defender, but can spread out the defense given his perimeter shooting.
In the Celtics threads, other posters besides myself have called out Horford's mediocre play and questioned the contract he's on.
If we're talking about next season, Boston has the option of worrying about IT and his big pay day after this upcoming.Heatles said:IT's also going to get a max contract as well. So again, how do you figure the Celtics are going to add all of these pieces and keeping their secondary players (2 of the 4 that you claim)?
But you don't seem like the type that likes realism coming at you, so I'll leave you be now.

You're judging a fish (Horford) by his ability to climb a tree (score), Heatles.
Horford's never been a number one scorer. Not when he was leading his college team to those national championships, and not in the pro's. Yet, basketball folks know he is a very valuable player who brings a lot to the table.
Long story short: your analysis is missing something.
If we're talking about next season, Boston has the option of worrying about IT and his big pay day after this upcoming.
No?
I said that IT was a free agent in '18. That's already been addressed.
Again, for well over $20 million, what does Horford bring to the table? He's not that great of a scorer, with the exception that he can hit from the perimeter, and he's a subpar rebounder and defender. Your argument for Horford is similar to Wiggy's on how it was justified that TT deserved the contract he got.
Considering he's making well over $20 mil, those stat lines are embarrassing:
vs. Cle: 12.4 PPG 4.2 RPG 4.4 APG
vs. Was: 16.7 PPG 6.6 RPG 5.1 APG
vs. Chi: 15.3 PPG 8.5 RPG 6.5 APG
For someone who's a number 2 option and getting paid as much as he is, that's subpar. On top of that, his defense is mediocre. He's also on the wrong side of 30, so don't expect him to get better.
Horford is not a negative defensively.
I have always thought he was overrated, yeah he stepped it vs Washington but that is why when Boston signed him to a big deal I knew it was a mistake.
He's not a positive either. Again, for the contract that he's getting, what does he do well (outside of his presence on the perimeter) that justifies it?

He's probably one of the top 25-30 defenders in the NBA.

There's an n word in thereAny idea on what the content was?
The stats argument is always great as well. You make the stats argument with a guy like Klay Thompson in the Finals. Klay averaged only 16 PPG, which is below his average. But for a majority of that series he played effective defense on Kyrie Irving and somewhat on Lebron - that's impact.
What's Horford's similar impact? I still haven't got that answer.
