thinking on it logically, you got something there...
....the new two way contract makes it even better.

Unless someone unexpectedly falls, generally, you aren't getting a game changer that low.

If you do, it's just as likely you can get him in the first 5 picks of the 2nd round.

Dudes Who Get Guaranted Deals Are Less Likely To Go For This.

Huestiss in OKC is the only guy I know of.

These two-way contracts do not take up any of the 15 spots of an NBA roster. They are bonus players.

Here are some details on how the two-way contracts work, as outlined by DLeagueDigest.com and ESPN.com:

  • Anyone with three or fewer years in the NBA can sign. Players sign a one- or two-year contract. At the end of the contract, the NBA team can tender a qualifying offer.
  • Players can earn up to $275,000 if they meet requirements.
  • Players can spend a maximum of 45 days with the NBA team while on the deal. Teams can tender qualifying offers to players they want to keep longer than that.
  • Players who will be designated two-way contract guys will receive $50,000 in training camp (paid by the D-League and not a salary cap hit).
  • Players accrue Bird rights while on two-way contracts and are subject to restricted free agency at the end of their contracts if called up by their NBA team for at least 15 days.
  • NBA teams retain rights to two-way players, so other teams can’t poach them.
  • Two-way players can be traded but not until 30 days after they were signed.

@WiggyRuss

Dr. Attorney Wigster,

I believe there is a privacy feature you can use so people don't see you lurking.
No need to thank me.
I assumed you weren't smart enough to figure it out yourself.

Bledsoe, Chriss, #4 pick it sounds like? Not so sure #4 is going to get them Jackson (Celtics?)...

If Bledsoe and Chriss are involved, there will have to be another player leaving New York to balance the contracts, no?

Lebron's already stated he's never playing for lower than the max again.

That was before the Warriors got Durant. The game has changed.

I'm not saying he definitely would. I'm just saying if I was the Cavs, I would rather have a pitch then no pitch at all for next off-season. If the Cavs have an option for him to opt out and take $20 mill and bring in a Westbrook or Cp3 or Cousins, etc.... you don't think LeBron at least stops to think about that?

Lets not pretend like Pg13 + the rest of the Lakers roster is better than what the Cavs have now.

LeBron's going to LA

He's done with Gilbert, and he wants to play with PG13/Melo

His wife also wants to live in LA.

It all depends if the Gilbert email rumors are true. That could be the last straw for Lebron to play for Gilbert...

My guess is he might play for less, but my other guess is that it wouldn't be for Gilbert.

Never said the Lakers roster with PG13 is better, but if we take Lebron out of the equation and the Lakers flexibility they might; especially considering Cleveland can't seem to even win a game without Lebron.

Lebron's having to do all of the heavy lifting for the Cavs, similar to Miami which is why he left in the first place.

On top of that, TT's making $85 mil over a 5-year period. That puts him at just over $15 mil per year on his current deal. Any super star that's coming in is going to want well over $20 mil on what they can get.

It's cute to mention that Lebron might consider it. But given his workload and how others would be essentially paid more than him, it's high speculation that he'd consider it, going on doubtful.

On top of that, one all star being added to Lebron/Kyrie isn't going to put them over the Warriors. Especially considering that KD in his first year with the Dubs just smoked Cleveland in a series; which the former will only get better with chemistry.
